College Football Today 2019 Top 300 Scout Trout Elite Prospective Student-AThlete (ATH) Updates10/24/2018 Top 300 2019 ATH Recruits
Top 300 ATH Recruits are all linked to either recruits Hudl, Report or media outlet that justifies them as a ATH Recruit.
#47 RB/S - Tra Ranson - Sikesville HS (MO) - Tra Ranson was last year's Scout Trout All-American Bowl Class of 2019 MVP on the defensive side of the football for our events and reminded me of a young Kam Chancellor in the way he attacked the football. Tra was able to produce one of the top combines nationally heading into his Jr season and has since been moved to the running back position, which was able to show Ranson's overall athletic abilities on the field on the offensive side of the football. He excels in the return game and simply is always one of the best athletes to step on whatever field he takes. Tra accumulated major D1 interest over the off-season and we expect good news for him during this recruiting process, as he has earned everything that he is going to attain.
#49 APB/DB - Seth Johnson - St.Clouds HS (FL) - Seth Johnson has been playing lights out all season in the slot and as St.Cloud's premier go to back. Programs like Southern Miss came by and had verbally offered Johnson heading into his senior year and he received a official offer from D2 Urbana College in Ohio. Where Tanner Rickle had also received a offer and this tandem would be extremely scary if they got together on the gridiron. That being said, both of these athletes were graded out extremely high for a reason and I am extremely excited for their collegiate futures moving forward.
#59 QB/S/WR - Zayne Guthrie - Addison HS (AL) - Zayne Guthrie reminds me of Coach Frost in the way he plays the football game at a high level on either side of the football. He also is able to maintain excellence in all aspects of the game of football and, in our opinion, is the top QB/ATH in the entire state of Alabama. Guthrie has the attitude and demeanor of a Carson Wentz and leads by example daily, on and off the field. When it comes to the game of football though, I can't find many that can escape pressure and dance 80 yards to the end-zone like Zayne Guthrie.
#66 FB/TE/OLB/SS - Jimmy Bates - Vancleave HS (MS) - Jimmy Bates graded out as the Top FB recruit in the Class of 2019, because of his stellar ability to execute in all three phases needed in the game of football at an extremely high level. Jimmy also produced one of the nation's top overall combines and was able to run a 4.47,40 yard dash multiple times in a camp setting. Jimmy also possesses remarkable route running ability that may be used at the H-BACK/TE position and/or as a wide receiver. Bates also can play at the OLB/SS position for a defense, as he reads plays very quickly and uses his outstanding athleticism to get to the football. He is a great blitzing back and also shows brilliant play on special teams. You will not find to many as versatile as this top 2019 FB Recruit.
#69 WR/OLB/SS - Cameron Dyer - Seymour HS (TN) - Cameron Dyer is one of the best players in the state of Tennessee and showed outstanding skills as an OLB on tape, which is not his primary position. With a great athletic frame, Dyer is able to dominate on the offensive side of the football as a wide receiver and could even fit, as an H-BACK or TE moving forward. He shows he has improved in many facets of his game since last season and will continue to grow into a top tier football player at the next level. Dyer has received multiple offers thus far and looks mightily prepared for the next level.
#86 DB/WR/Returns - Jalin Lake - Briggs HS (OH) - Jalin Lake was the top shutdown corner at the Scout Trout 2019 All-American Bowl and excelled in every area on the football field. When I flipped on his tape, I see more of the best concentration in the nation in being able to make the immaculate reception, time and time again. I am telling you, flip on the tape and you are going to wonder how in the heck he catches these passes. It's out of this world!
#93 QB/WR/S - Nate Downing - Hirschi HS (TX) - Nate Downing has led the Huskies to yet another phenomenal season and shows the ability to operate a college style offense with precision. Nate shows he can throw the football extremely well in his footage against Gainesville HS (TX) and he also operates as one of the best free safeties we have seen with his very high football IQ. His acceleration is extremely tough to gauge as a defender and he does an extremely good job in letting his linemen get to their assignments, before hitting 5th gear through the hole. Downing defies expectations daily and is one of the best overall athletes we have found out of the great state of Texas.
#96 DB/WR Dashawntreas Jones - Mt.Tabor HS (NC) - Dashawntreas Jones is another spectacular athlete on the football field whose S.T.E.P score has steadily improved over the course of the season. Jones is a weapon in all facets of the game, as he can line up on either side of the football and shows uncanny abilities on special teams. With some of the best tackling ability you will see out of a CB in this class, he has the ability to turn into a Honey Badger-type of threat for a defense at the next level.
#124 LB/FB/RB Levi Thomas - Orrville (AL) - Levi Thomas is one of the toughest linebackers I have witnessed on tape and had a great overall combine for 6'0,225LBS at the 2018 Scout Trout All-American Bowl this past season. Levi has since dominated his opponents in nearly every facet of the game and looks ready to take on the world of college football, as a humble, but exhilarating force on the football field.
#139 DB/WR/Returns - KJ Macatiag - Kahuku HS (HI) - KJ Macatiag plays football in Hawaii and is one of the best Defensive backs technique wise you will watch on tape. He shows outstanding coverage ability and also can be seen flying up to make perfect tackles. I watched KJ also operate as a tough running slot back for Kahuku, and he also excels in the return game. He proves to have an outstanding attitude overall and will be an instant contributor to whatever college football team that decides to bring him into their program.
#259 WR/OLB/SS - Jabryant Bradley - Blount HS (AL) - Jabryant Bradley is a dynamic player who took visits to Auburn and South Alabama over the off-season. His big and athletic frame makes him an outstanding Wide Receiver and OLB with the overall athletics he possesses. I really like him back over the top of my defense to shut down anything these high octane offenses try and trick us with.
#291 WR/DB/Returns - Mikey Delgado - Oak Hills HS (CA) - Delgado is an electric return man and dynamic slot receiver out of California and his outstanding new footage can be seen by clicking the link on his mini rankings profile.
