Cameron Dyer 6'1,190LB WR/DB Class of 2019 SEymour HS (TN) - All-American Early Selection Report3/1/2018 ![]() Cameron Dyer has been selected as a Scout Trout Elite Early Selection All-American. When you watch his magnificent highlights above, you will begin to see why we think he is going to be a big time college football player. Dyer is an outstanding prospect on both sides of the football and is remarkable at locating the ball while positioning his body to make the play. Whether it be as a defensive back or a receiver, Cameron wins the battle in the air nearly every time he goes up for the football. With nearly a 15 yards per catch average his junior year on 17 receptions for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns, Dyer is going to be the go-to man this season, as he has the potential to deliver huge chunks of yardage for his offensive unit. Cameron already has 4 interceptions for his high school career, and when you watch him play up in the box at 6'1,190LBS, you start to see a very versatile, next level free or strong safety. Lined up at cornerback, at around 1:10 into his impressive highlights, Dyer uses great form on the "jam" technique and never lets the receiver get off the line of scrimmage. Dyer proves to be a great outside stalk blocker in his film and a very gritty runner after the catch. On the second to last play, Dyer shows his determination and high motor, as he is able to hawk down a ball carrier from behind using great hustle and speed. When it comes to all-around ball players and the ability to "high point" the football in immense traffic, there are few that are as good as this Scout Trout All-American Class of 2019 Early Selection, and we are happy he has accepted his early nomination! |
