Every year this is the hottest time for recruiting for ALL college football levels and if your info has not been properly evaluated by collegiate staffs by this time, your chances now deteriorate substantially.

Many athletes will sign come signing day and many won't, each individual prospect has their own unique path, as does each collegiate football program. When I first started this program on Thanksgiving of 2016, it was a sole entity. Since then, we have helped athletes accumulate over 350 million and counting in scholarship offers and now will be running Scout Trout Elite LLC, while covering our athletes LIVE across collegiate campuses nationally for COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY!  Playing at the FCS/D2 or NAIA levels can lead to bigger things sometimes than riding the bench for the beginning of your career, as there is no better preparation than actually competing on the field. We have had many athletes with over 20-30 offers choose the smaller college for personal reasons that individualizes them in one aspect or another. We encourage athletes to explore ALL levels of collegiate football, as you never know what program fits your individual needs. Coaches will persuade players to give up on playing this game if they are not D1 caliber according to that individual coach's perspective. Always remember that there are hundreds of college offensive, defensive and special teams "systems" that cater to INDIVIDUALS doing their part. In order to build and maintain a well-oiled machine, we must first maintain and keep each intricate part working at a high level to maintain maximal output. Remember this when coaching your teams this summer through camp. I see many like the Hirschi Huskies doing a wonderful job of building ball players and young men for the future of college football.

Congrats Daimarqua Foster

When it rains, It pours

Picture
Through much adversity the Hirschi Huskies went from a 0-10 ball club to a Texas State Championship Contender! With the Trench Monster Lloyd Murray leading the way and USA Today's #3 Overall Running Back for Class of 2019 Daimarqua (L.T./A.I.) Foster. The Huskies are busy building young man at a very high level this summer, as Coach Youngs has brought this team out of a black-hole and into glory, and Scout Trout will be covering them throughout yet another historic season for the Huskies. While we uphold our responsibilities for College Football Today, we will be covering the Top National High School prospects on our Top 300 and scouring the United States for players to add to our so ever popular S.T.E.P ratings.

College Football’s Marijuana Policies

Colleges nationally have very strict rules about the usage of Marijuana, as it pertains to sports. With that being said, studies have shown that marijuana is not a performance-enhancing drug and has no benefits to athletes healing or performance when it comes to sports. On the contrary, marijuana has been proven to depressurize the brain after concussions and heal the brain at a 50% faster rate, than if not prescribed. These days you do not need to smoke the medicine as it comes in many forms medicinally that will not be harmful to your lungs. On average, over 70% of NFL players are using medical cannabis as a source for healing, rather than being “stoned”.

“Cannabis has shown a wealth of potential in traumatic brain injury. Unique properties of the herb may help the brain repair itself after trauma, including trauma from a concussion. Overall, there are three main characteristics that make cannabis a promising treatment for concussions and other forms of head trauma.”

1.) Reduced Brain Inflammation
“A2014 study from Tel Aviv University found that microdoses ofpsychoactive THC reduced brain swelling in rodent models. The researchers write,
'Our results suggest that an ultralow dose of THC that lacks any psychotrophic activity protects the brain from neuroinflammation-induced cognitive damage and might be used as an effective drug for the treatment of neuroinflammatory conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases.'”

2. Neuroprotection
“Surprisingly, the US government also thinks that cannabis is a promising treatment for head injury. TheFeds currently hold a patent onnonpsychoactive CBD as a neuroprotective agent.
In thepatent application, they write,
“The cannabinoids [in cannabis] are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and HIV dementia.”

Further research from 2013 found that the EndoCannabinoid System (ECS) plays a crucial role in the brain’s ability to repair itself.  The ECS is the pathway in which cannabis engages with the body. The study articulates that therapeuticcannabinoids may provide protection against nerve cell damage after acute injury.

3.) Post concussion syndrome
A2014 study found that patients with traumatic brain injury who had detectable levels of THC in their systems at the time of an accident were less likely to die from brain trauma.

Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS) is a complex condition that sometimes follows a concussion. The symptoms of PCS can last for months after the initial brain injury.
According to theMayo Clinic, some of the symptoms include,
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Loss of concentration and memory
  • Noise and light sensitivity

Unfortunately, PCS is also blamed for many persisting psychiatric problems after a concussion. Risks of depression and suicide increase after head trauma.Recent research has found that even one concussion may triple the long-term risk of suicide.
Cannabis therapies may be able to improve PCS symptoms. One2012 rodent study  suggests that cannabinoid treatments may help improve memory and cognitive performance after stress-related neuropsychiatric conditions.
Additionalrodent studies have found that CBD is an extremely fast-acting antidepressant. Many conventional pharmaceutical options take up to 6 weeks to kick in. In this study, rodents under stress that were treated with CBD showed improvements just minutes after their first dose. CBD continued to work over time.

Personal Experience with Concussions

Having a nearly 400-pound man hit you in the top of the head is not fun, especially after getting thrown back in a LB the entire 4th quarter with a severe brain injury. Having experienced similar head injuries in the past, I had realized that this one was extremely serious when I was experiencing all of the heavy post-concussion symptoms (times ten after the paid collision by Coach John Fourcase, Former New Orleans Saints QB) whom I would love to see again to this day, as he is the epitome of what is wrong with the game of football). On the contrary, I learned so much from healing my brain in Fort Collins, Colorado that I was able to excel in so many other areas of life outside of the actual field. Learning all that I did about dealing with severe concussions and buffoons like Fourcade, I was able to create a business that helps young men through many obstacles. CBD or Hemp Oil, I used daily as a lotion and it subsided my anguish, while making my racing thoughts much clearer in order to write "football with passion", as the great Lee Beatty from Hirschi High School used to say. After dealing with 7 concussions since my sophomore year of high school (maybe earlier), enough was enough, and it was time to repair all what was lost. Do I still have minor glitches and everyday issues? Of course, but dealing with them head on with the proper treatment is and will always be conducive to healing myself and others afflicted by the mental anguish of post-concussion syndrome, which can increase suicide up to 3X with just one blow to the head. These products mostly are only legal to those above the age of 21, unless medically prescribed, so use caution at ALL times and seek medical advice with your own FACTS when you see your physician.

This too shall pass

walk by faith, not by sight

You destroy us, we will re-build not only ourselves, but others in the process

Clay Cogswell 5'11,205LB Class of 2019 LB Independence HS (KY) - 40th ranked prospect in Nation

Picture
No one knows who my 40th ranked prospect in America is because the State of Kentucky falls at the very bottom of the college football recruiting map. Clay Cogswell is nothing short of an athletic phenom, and he translates it extremely well to the football field. Clay's combine numbers are among the top athletes in ALL of the United States and his unofficial 4.34 at 205lbs is remarkable to say the least. His agility is off the charts on the football field, as he is able to cover sideline to sideline and is very adept in defending the pass. Clay bench presses 225lbs 15 times and can really bring the heat when it comes to getting pressure on the QB as seen on the first play of his highlights above. Cogswell is able to read plays instinctively and shows outstanding acceleration and agility while arriving at the ball with ferocity.  Every defense has that one player that is the "cog in the wheel" and Clay Cogswell is just that for Independence High School Football (KY). Clay is what I like to call an "instant contributor" at the next level, as not much development is needed physically and he excels on special teams. That being said, Clay will contribute at a very high level no matter what college program he attends and will be a leader in the weight room. Clay comes on a blitz at around 1:49 into his footage and is able to come off the edge and completely annihilate the blocking back, executing a remarkable QB sack. At 3:10, you can witness Clay burst downfield on kickoff and make a stellar tackle that is completely inescapable with the amount of force generated from his combined intense speed, acceleration and power. The play starting at 4 minutes and 50 seconds is able to demonstrate some of the best agility I have seen when blitzing from the LB position in the class of 2019 for a QB sack. What I really value about Clay is his ability to line up practically anywhere on the defensive side of the football. He is extremely versatile and has the athletic ability to be a high caliber player at the next level. From sheer film observation, Cogswell appears to be a player who enjoys contact sports at a very high level, as he is a TRUE ENFORCER on the defensive side of the football and on special teams. After watching the rest of his footage, I do not know if there is another player that gets into the backfield as quickly and with as much authority as Clay Cogswell. For this reason, Clay has been nominated and has accepted his Class of 2019 Scout Trout All-American Nomination and looks to carry the torch for the State of Kentucky moving forward in our S.T.E.P ratings 2019 Championship Series. Our 40th overall prospect is going to be on most of college football's radar, after already getting a like on his nomination stats by Coach Mike Leach of Washington State. When it comes to Linebackers, Scout Trout has been able to locate the best in the under recruited states, as last year we had All-American Defensive MVP Devon Banaszak from London, High School who will always hold a special place among the Scout Trout Elite! I spoke more about Clay Cogswell on Scout Trout Radio today and other pertinent subjects as we inch closer to high school and college football season! Congrats Clay and thanks for joining the Scout Trout Elite family!

How to Build A House - Contracting Your life 101

6/20/2018

Comments

The Foundation

Picture
In construction, we start by digging a hole to pour our foundation. Once the hole is big enough, you put re-bar in to make the foundation even stronger and bond together. The cement truck says it will be there at 1:00 PM, so you are making sure you computed your "rise and run" properly for your steps. You then pour concrete into the hole and start to smooth your foundation out using a "bull-float". This is a grueling and extensive process to do by yourself or with a few people, but hard work tends to look a lot like success in the end.

The Frame Work

Picture
I am sure I am going to miss some steps but the picture will be painted more visibly in more modern day football terms in a minute. Putting up the frame work is just that, your piecing together 2x4's and other cut wood and building your way up! You than our able to run your ELECTRIC AND PLUMBING.

The Electric and Plumbing

Picture
I have ran wire, but would normally sub-contract that out due to the unknown potential of electrocuting myself. Though installing (NEW/rough) plumbing was always fun to me, it was like a big puzzle that easily linked together and water ran through it! Sounds like Mario and Luigi until you end up "gutting" out beach houses down the jersey shore and poop busts all over your face in a very tight space in the floor. Being covered in excrament kinda changed my perspective on working smarter and not as dirty in life. If all goes right, you will be flushing toilets, doing dishes, washing laundry and watering your lawn in no time!

The interior Design

Picture
Well, I missed the sheet rock, I think carrying this stuff is what made me an outstanding linebacker, but we will get into that another day. I also looked like a ghost half of the time or some sort of extremely white creature from another planet when covered in this stuff. It also made me sneeze quite often, but as I said, if you wanna be a great linebacker go pick up panels of sheet-rock and/or toss FULL trusses up to your 5'6 father who you believe might fall off the roof. I guess when your life is at risk, certain instincts kick in or they don't and you're--well--dead and gone. I hate laying and tearing up carpet when these dumb-asses put too many staples in the carpet. It's not going anywhere, it's being stepped on. I could do a novel on laying Tile, as you must make precise cuts using a "wet saw" and use exact calculations to ensure your overall quality.

The Roof

Picture
Putting a roof on a house is not an easy task, as I had to work for some of the most knuckle-head roofing contractors of all-time. Maybe they were considered decent in their area in ONE expertise, but I watched the G.O.A.T. Dave Trout do it all, no one even came close. I remember people bothering him, but they were never unsatisfied when the job was complete and usually paid a very high rate for the top end work he did. But tossing those dag gum trusses up to him, built my shoulders into actual concrete, along with carrying "TONS" of busted up concrete. Do I miss it, no. Did I learn something everyday and not even realize it until much further down the road, YES! Carrying bundle, after bundle of shingles cut my skin, hardened my soul in 100 degree weather and turned my legs into actual jackhammers themselves. Now that your roof is on, it's time to BUILD A LIFE in that home.

Whats your Foundation?

  • Looking inside yourself is not easy and if you can't define WHO you are and what you represent in this world, then you must stay here until you find these things.
  • What matters most to you? Is it family, your faith, your respect for your fellow man/woman or are you driven solely by your personal success?
  • In order to COMPETE at a high level you must CONTRIBUTE at a high level. Those who wind up being the best competitors and winners are those who challenge the everyday status quo. They do this by contributing to a team or cause first and having a core belief system that falls directly in line with mission at hand.

The frame work to the next level

  • Now that you know your mission, it is time to start planning your attack or angles or pursuit! Take everyone's advice, but hold their opinions as perspectives, as they choose to build a small hut and you want The Jerry Jones Mansion.
  • Now you need to find the support and team you need around you to make this happen. Some can build others into what they need them to be and sometimes you just run into great overall people/teammates in life that can assist you along the way.
  • Your core frame work is your inner circle of "TRUST". You know if you told them something, they would take it to the grave with them if asked.

What are you wired for? Is your plumbing running down the right drain?

  • This is an easy one, the electric is your brain, as it "fires" and does all sorts of neat stuff that I talk about in "defining your process". Wake up everyday with the intention to change yourself in a positive fashion by listening to the right people in your circle. Most of the time, your parent(s), close relatives will be in your corner but have no idea what is best for you at the NEXT LEVEL.
  • If our wiring is correct, then we most likely know what we are doing with our PLUMBING, as I like to relate this to health. Kinda funny as these men are known for their Plumber's cracks, I respect them and so should you. Anyways, if your backed up, you probably put something in your body that "clogged your toilet" or your not getting enough "up-flow" or water in your system. Guess this will leave you guessing what I am going to compare life or football to next. Give me any topic and I can correlate it to either, why is this? Because those who CHOOSE to change, will change and those who demonstrate the in-ability to change, WILL NEVER CHANGE!
  • I concur that we have failed at teaching our YOUTH these principles on HOW TO BUILD their life, instead of just living it. That's about all I have to say about that, as I continue to lay the framework for the house built by the master of building, learning and evolving. Yes, I have confidence, it came from somewhere. I also see a generation SEVERELY LACKING the confidence to move forward and become bolder than our predecessors. Our time is going to pass, what were you doing with yours?

Don't just live your life, BUILD YOUR LIFE!
1. Opportunity - I never knew that I had a lot in common with Ashton Kutcher until I listened to his childhood. My first job ever was also carry shingles up and down ladders, while working with my father. My second job was also in the service industry and then it somehow became playing football full-time. Not being drafted in 2009, as an under class-man (sophomore RS) nearly ruined my career, as I fired probably one of the best agents in all of football (David Canter), who had just helped Stephen Davis secure a 149 Million dollar contract and was one of the more respected names in the game. Having to watch his success with players like Eric Weddle and many others over the years made me realize the mistake I had made.
2. "It's a lot like HARD WORK" - Success is what you make it and accomplishing your dreams is not an easy task in any DREAM driven industry. Keeping the mind-set that the people above are not smarter than you and that you will succeed is a key component to winning in today's game. Reno, Fayetteville, Albany GA, So-Cal, Colorado, Green Bay, Texas and more were some of the stops I had along the way of learning what is the right way and also what is the path to destruction. Where others have severely failed and given up, I kept telling myself it would be very easy to succeed.
3. Being Sexy is being smart - I am just going to let Christopher "Ashton" jmfKutcher explain that one, as the world continues to feed you the crap that most intellectual men and women want nothing to do with.
Do not just live your life, BUILD YOU'RE LIFE!

Gabriel Means 6'1,205LB LB Class of 2020 Navarro HS (TX) - Elite Prospect Report

class of 2020, scout football, under armor, all-american, 5 star recruit, texas football, baylor football recruiting, recruit, football, college football, ncaa football, top college linebacker recruits, 2020 lb recruits, best 2020 linebacker prospects, elite linebackers,
Gabriel Means was just at the Baylor Camp and was extremely impressive overall in his combine numbers, while also being able to show his ability in the pass coverage. As a Class of 2020 LB out of Navarro High School in the great football state of Texas. Means shows that he the ability to produce tackle after tackle in his film above and also the extremely high motor he possesses while taking nearly perfect angles of pursuit to track down ball carriers. Gabriel shows very good overall football instincts and as you can see on the second play of his highlights, can read and react extremely quickly to tackle the ball carrier in the backfield. In the next play the ball is thrown out to the flat and read quickly by the outside defenders. Means however, is in perfect position after he shows off his spectacular upper body strength when he completely unearths the oncoming blocker around the 50-yard line. His highly aggressive motor can be seen on the next play, as he uses his relentless drive and athletics to make a touchdown saving tackle at the one yard line! Means is shown taking on two blockers on the next play, as he obviously was able to demand attention in the state of Texas this year, as a feared middle linebacker. On this play, he is able to detach very well with extended arms and scrape down the line of scrimmage to make yet another brilliant stop for Navarro. Keeping outside contain is a key component to playing out of the "edge" of a defense and Means is able to demonstrate great leverage to be able to maintain outside contain on the next play. Gabriel is than able to use great athletics to bend back to help assist with yet another stop for Navarro. With more of the same tenacious play and intensity shown on the next few plays, Means is able to shoot the gap once again and cause mass chaos in the backfield, as he causes and recovers the errant pitch. When Blitzing on the next play, Gabriel uses great technique once again and makes the QB throw an errant pass that is intercepted by Navarro. Means is one of those defensive players that is making a impact on almost every play, as he makes his presence felt with his superior play. When not making a tackle, fumble recover or sack, Means will be found making a means to an end for the Navarro Panthers football squad. When I wrote about the Hall of Fame Pittsburgh Steeler linebacker Jack Lambert, I had no idea I would be watching a new and improved Class of 2020 version the next day. We have something special brewing daily at Scout Trout, as TCU Commit Daimarqua Foster was unknowingly compared to Ladainian Tomlinson and then is seen with the Hall of Fame RB himself and committing to the world renowned Horned Frogs. If this young man continues to build on what is already one of the most solid Class of 2020 foundations we have found at the Linebacker position, well, we might be looking at an extremely ACTIVE and tenacious linebacker who will make an immediate impact in the world of collegiate football. Welcome to Scout Trout, Home of the Elite Next College Student-Athlete All-American.

Stanton Hayes 5'8,170 RB/ATH Class of 2020 Timberline HS (WA) - New Prospect Report

6/17/2018

Comments

Picture
Stanton Hayes is one of the most thrilling backs in the class of 2020 to watch on tape and hails from Timberline High School in the great Northwest. On the very first play of this phenomenal athlete's highlights, Hayes is able to use uncanny acceleration after taking the "draw" hand-off and is able to burst downfield. Hayes uses outstanding vision on this play and  after running through a defender is able to cut-back against the grain of the defense, once again using outstanding acceleration en-route to a touchdown. On the very next play, Stanton is seen coming out of the backfield on a swing pass and is able to use his quick wit and agility to elude the defender, who was able to read the play quickly and effectively. He is then able to once again make a quick move to elude another defender, showing his synapse reaction time is exceptional so early in his career, and that he has an outstanding overall upside. Stanton is able to take the ball on the next play to the right side of the field, only to find that there is nowhere to run. He cleverly locates the "5th cutback" lane, as Coach Robert Prunty called it on Scout Trout Radio, and loses an entire defense in the shuffle using his supreme athletic ability to find his way to the end-zone once again. Hayes is also a remarkable defensive prospect, as he is lined up on the inside receiver in a "Nickel Back" roll and is able to drop into perfection coverage and make a beautiful "high- pointing" interception. Hayes is then able to take the ball all the way for a score and you will see his physicality. For this reason, I can confidently compare him to the "Honey Badger", as he possesses game changing ability in all three phases of the game. Hayes comes off the edge as a blitzing back, as if he is an outside linebacker and breaks to the football very quickly upon instantaneous recognition of the play to break up passes or intercept the pigskin. He plays the ball in the air extremely well and shows great versatility, as a running back in the passing game. With his extraordinary ability on special teams, offense and defense, combined with stellar academics, Hayes exemplifies what it takes to succeed at a high level and we are nominating him as a Class of 2020 All-American! As we work through Class of 2020 S.T.E.P ratings, adding this outstanding student-athlete will certainly make our Top 150 extremely interesting, as we move forward into the 2018 High School and Collegiate Football training camps nationally. Thanks for joining Scout Trout Elite, LLC, and we look forward to what the future holds for this bright young super-star in the making!

Identifying your weaknesses and turning them into Strengths - The Daily grind

Fumble Recovery by Scout Trout

Picture
Picture
The legendary Chuck Noll used a philosophy that turned men into hardened warriors that could adapt to any known or unknown variable bestowed upon them. This 4X Super Bowl Champion did not care what you were good at. To make it to the highest level of football you must have been good at something or you would not have been there in the late 70's. This era of football had no rules. Performance enhancers, vicious blows to the head and gladiator type play were a everyday occurrence. Knowing the brutality of this era, it took a different type of man to play the game, as these men really do not exist in the modern day NFL today. The game has become more of a chess match compared to this era and more about strategizing.

Learning the "Chuck Noll" model and also the model that won the USFL Philadelphia Baltimore Stars their rings, combined with a modern day Pete Carroll, ever evolving approach. We have identified thousands of weaknesses that are very identifiable and we will be listing them on our Scout Trout "Insiders" page for our current Scout Trout Elite members. Moving forward, it is time to intuitively and eagerly identify our weaknesses and begin to build them into strengths, on and off the field. Our S.T.E.P ratings very vividly identify an athlete's weaknesses, as far a college football recruit almost immediately. If you would like to know what effected your score in a negative fashion and begin to build that weakness into a strength, your viewing the right website and should seriously contemplate joining our mission of evolving much faster than our competition. Some use the phrase out with the old and in with the new, we decided that would work for us, with the exception of learning from our predecessors and the methods they employed that produced flourishing diamonds at the time, Division Three program Kent State. Happy Father's Day to all my former Steelers and my Father David Trout, former Kicker for the Steelers and Philadelphia Baltimore Stars. I hope you all decided one day to wake up and know that WE ALL HAVE WEAKNESSES and that there is another man out there who was identified his and turned them into GREATNESS!   Below is the full game video of when I got my head taken off by a 380LB DT from the New Mexico Stars, his last name was Blockmen or something, that's how much I remember that game or moment. I had just nailed the first ever four point drop kick and I refused to let off the gas at LB.

The Pipeline program was developed from a combined hundreds of years of football and recruiting knowledge. Since we value our student-athletes overall success at the next level first and foremost, we as former college/pro players and coaches have designed a program to not just get you recruited. The Pipeline program was developed to get you better, while letting your hard work and dedication pay off. We will be releasing Parts 3  and 4 of 'What is the Pipeline Program?"very soon,as we have added the newly formed Scout Trout Elite Prospect Ratings or S.T.E.P ratings. This program has already had 3, 4 and 5-Star players submitting profiles daily, and we UPDATE all profiles before the next S.T.E.P ratings our released. Find more about the S.T.E.P ratings program, after you read about the most successful college football recruiting, training and coaching program EVER created!
