Top 2022 Quarterback recruits features the very talented Tyler Foley from The Heritage high school in Georgia at the number two overall position in all of America. Tyler is a major dual-threat presence, but is also one of the best passing quarterbacks I have watched on tape in the 2022 football recruiting class. I have yet to find a better release from the pocket, as there is no wasted motion in his delivery. I first got to see Foley at the Georgia Bulldogs football camp and he did not disappoint, as I received rave reviews across the board from coaching staffs across the world of College Football Today. 2022 TOP QUARTERBACK RECRUIT
2022 top quarterback recruit Tyler Foley throws the football better then any QB recruit I have seen in his class and also has a rocket launcher for an arm. Foley shows the ability in his film above to push the rock downfield and has very little "cock back" when delivering the football. Delivering the ball at this age the way he does, allows his receivers to quickly get the football and Tyler is wonderful at throwing them open to a spot. This also does not allow pass rushers enough time to get to him and even if they do, he has 4.5,40 speed and can swiftly avoid them and create plays with his uncanny dual-threat abilities. The second throw up the seam is delivered precisely between three defenders and is a very catch-able football for his receiving target. His ball also proves to have a lot of velocity behind it, as the ball travels from point A to point B extremely quickly. The third throw shows how Foley delivers the deep ball effortlessly on the post route, which lands right in his receivers breadbasket, about 55-60 yards downfield.

Top 2022 QB recruit Tyler Foley can also be seen rolling out and delivering the same type of football on the run, as he uses his entire body wonderfully to deliver the football to his intended targets. The throw at around 1:10 is another synaptic-ally charged football and truly exhibits what this young man is capable of moving forward, as one of the top 2022 QB recruits at the prestigious College Football Today. I am not going to give any credibility to any hot lists in the state of Georgia at the QB position, as I have credible in-tel that many are paying for these spots at egregious amounts.
TOP 2022 DUAL-THREAT QB
Top 2022 dual-threat QB Tyler Foley earned that title by making plays that I have not seen at his age on the football field in a very talented football state. When I watch more 7 on 7 tape below, Tyler can be seen looking off the defense and using a subtle pump fake before he delivers the football up the seam. This reminds me of NFL quarterback Drew Brees and why his longevity as a top NFL passer has persisted, year in and year out.

2022 top QB recruit has a lot of film amassed thus far in his young career and I would love to go back to his Freshmen season, but you can watch it by clicking HERE. I could write a novel on how to play the QB position by using Foley as the prime example, but that will be for another day. When you watch Foley deliver the football against Troup County high school, you will witness Tyler fit the ball into some pretty tight windows downfield for touchdowns. You will also see some of the same brilliant quarterback play mentioned above. If you are blind to how the QB position is supposed to be played at a high level, well, continue to overlook the top dual-threat QB at College Football Today. In doing some research, the kid is the top rising 2022 recruit in the nation and this will be proven this season and in the offers he attains.
THE HERITAGE HS GEORGIA
Life at The Heritage HS in Georgia is about to change this year, as I have selected them as one of the high school football teams we will be following at College Football Today. They have produced top level talent year in and year out, and I value the diligence and expertise in the game of American football. I also value how much they care about their players and the value they put into getting their recruits to the next level. As far as Tyler Foley is concerned, his father puts in the time and energy into making him what he is today and is unmatched in the 2022 college football recruiting class. When it comes to the little things at the QB position, I have not found many flaws in the kids game thus far and he will only continue to get better STEP BY STEP, as we move forward into what is going to be a historic year at The Heritage high school.
TOP 2020 LINEBACKER RECRUIT
Top 2020 linebacker recruit Connor Mayfield could arguably be considered one of the top middle linebackers in the nation when watching him on tape last season. He is a straight bull when meeting running backs in the hole and reads plays decisively as a top 2020 linebacker recruit. Watch this very technically sound and disruptive linebacker below in his 2018 highlight's and tell me I am wrong in my assessment of Connor Mayfield.
2020 HS ALL-AMERICAN LB
2020 HS All-American LB Connor Mayfield is one of the most physical linebackers I have witnessed when meeting the ball carriers in the hole, as seen on his first play in his 2018 highlight's above. He also is a very cerebral player and excels in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA and 1220 ACT. Connor was named 1st team All-Region in the talented state of Georgia and has all of the athletic tools needed to excel mightily as a college football linebacker. Mayfield uses his hands beautifully in being able to detach from oncoming blockers and is very tenacious in his approach, as he wastes no time diagnosing the play to abruptly meet the ball carrier before he gets a head of steam.
TOP 2020 LB RECRUITS
Top 2020 LB recruits should be able to maneuver side to side to cover ground extremely well and when you possess a 4.11 shuttle time like Connor, you can do just that. Mayfield is seen flying to the football on the second play of his 2018 highlight's and moves extremely well for a 6'1,220LB linebacker recruit. Connor once again shows an outstanding ability in getting rid of oncoming blockers and ferociously drives the ball carrier to the ground in the backfield. Connor never stops his strong base from moving and finishes off tackles extremely well for a 2020 LB recruit. After another brutal tackle for a loss, Connor is seen once again tracking down a ball carrier laterally, as he has some of the best athletics at the LB position in his class.
2020 TOP FOOTBALL RECRUIT
2020 top football recruit Connor Mayfield can also be seen lining up as a power blocking fullback and does a great job at moving the defender on the power. When watching Connor make tackles moving forward into his tape, he is a very sure tackler and wraps up "rugby style" to ensure he takes out the ball carriers legs. Making tackles is not always about making the big hit, but instead, ensuring the ball carrier cannot run downfield by taking out the "levers".
2020 ALL-AMERICAN LINEBACKER
I will be adding Connor Mayfield to our 2020 All-American linebacker list at College Football Today, as well as many others to the roster, as we prepare for our 2020 All-American Bowl in Memphis,TN. Many political agendas have seeped down into our beloved game and the five star busts that companies keep creating it seems is mostly to write about their downfall. Being correct on your personal assessment from day one takes time, diligence and watching hours of game film. If you are not prepared to do this, please refrain from creating your "hot list" and go back to the drawing board, as nobody has beaten us on our evaluations yet.

New 2020 HS All-American linemen Vinny Provenza is one of the most refined offensive linemen I have seen on tape this year in the 2020 college football recruiting class. He is being re-ranked after this report on our College Football Today recruit rankings and will be placed on our 2020 HS All-American team, along with a few others. Vinny graded out last season between 88-92% as an offensive linemen and has a dynamic skill set that could also be utilized on the defensive line, as well as special teams.

Top 2020 football recruit Vinny Provenza has been ranked very highly at College Football Today and as you will read below, he is one of the most outstanding linemen recruits in the nation.
TOP 2020 OL RECRUIT
Top 2020 OL recruit Vinny Provenza is one of the quickest in his pass sets that I have witnessed on tape and once he engages with the defensive end, he keeps his feet moving and finishes his block. He is extremely quick to the second level when getting out of screen plays and as Coach Grimm used to say, is able to move his man against his will promptly. Read more below after watching his what I think are epic highlight's at the OL position.
2020 TOP LINEMEN RECRUIT
2020 top linemen recruit Vincent Provenza is one heck of a run blocker and is able to take his man for a ride per play design extremely effectively, as seen at around 40 seconds into the tape above. Once again, Vinny is a offensive coordinators dream in the short passing game, as he is arguably the most athletic linemen in the nation at getting out on wide receiver screens to open up huge running lanes his receivers. When coming on an inside down block, Provenza uses his enormous upper body strength to pummel guards to the turf. He can be seen towards the end of his footage quickly getting to the second level (linebacker) to create a beautiful running lane for his running back.

Top 2020 FB recruit rankings are updated almost daily this time of year at College Football Today. I have mixed emotions about what I would do with Provenza at the next level, as his quick hands and explosiveness would work amazingly as a pass rushing defensive end. The facts still remain that he is a magnificent offensive linemen on tape and you cannot deny the fact that this kid is arguably one of the most athletic linemen in the nation.

Top 2020 quarterback recruit Tristan Vandiver out of Ripley HS in Mississippi is one of the most gifted recruits both academically, as well as athletically in the 2020 college football recruiting class. There is now a very good chance he could be ranked the number one overall QB recruit in our STEP ratings algorithm, as he has both pro style capabilities at the position, as well as a magnificent dual-threat presence. Tristan has outstanding combine stats at the position and a 4.3 GPA, combined with a 28 ACT to match. Watch more below of what could very well be one of the best QB recruits in the 2020 college football recruiting class, at College Football Today.

Top QB recruits in 2020 should have a certain mindset established to become an elite college football quarterback, as well as a work ethic as a top athlete in the game of American football. Check out the numbers below and read more of what I think about how the way Tristan plays the game at the quarterback position.

2020 top QB recruit Vandiver shows the ability to step up in the pocket and is able to throw his receivers open to a spot downfield. He also is able to fit the ball into extremely tight windows into tight coverage over the top of the defense, when evaluating his 2018 highlight's above. In the third throw of his tape, Valdiver is able to throw his receiver to a spot and fit the ball in between three defenders, who were closing in on the receiver for a big play. The next throw is placed over the top of two defenders perfectly on an out route, which shows not only arm strength, but superior ball placement. We get to see Tristan's wheels on the next snap, as he takes the ball quickly downhill and scampers for a very big gain. He is able to push the ball downfield and hit his receivers perfectly in stride and operates with a quick release in the short passing game.
2020 ALL-AMERICAN QB
I am naming Tristan to my 2020 All-American roster as a QB for a variety of reasons, but at around 1:02, you will begin to see some of the best pocket presence at the quarterback position. Tristan is able to beautifully step up in the pocket to avoid pressure and still deliver a dime downfield for a big play. The next few plays you see more of Tristan fitting the football into tight windows up the seam and delivering very accurate darts downfield. At around 1:27, Tristan the ability to get the ball out of his hand quickly on the deep ball to once again throw his receiver open for a big play up the sideline. Tristan throws the deep out routes which take a very strong arm, better then most QB's I have witnessed in his class and throws a very catch-able football, much like the Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray.

Top 2020 FB recruit rankings sheets are being updated this weekend at College Football Today and if the STEP algorithm is used correctly, Vandiver will be among the elite football recruits in the nation. Watching Tristan toss the ball on the run moving forward into his tape, he is able to regain control of his body and deliver accurate strikes to his check down receivers. I guess when you have a 4.2 GPA and 28 ACT, you can translate that knowledge to the QB position and operate at an extremely high level in the process.

Top 2020 DT recruits at College Football Today now features Vinny Carnazzo out of Heritage HS (GA), as I have not seen many with this kind of play in the trenches. Vinny has outstanding stats for a 2020 DT recruit, combined with one of the best tapes I have seen thus far at Scout Trout Elite. When you combine his superior academics to his play on the field, you get a stellar S.T.E.P rating at College Football Today. 2020 TOP DT RECRUIT
2020 top DT recruit Vinny Carnazzo is a complete hellion in the trenches and a dominant force upon engagement. He gets off the football very well and has an outstanding base, as far as his brute strength is concerned, when evaluating tape. As I explained on his Scout Trout Elite lineman profile below, Vinny can fight through a double team and shows great technique in getting to the quarterback. He extends his arms very well to keep blockers off of him and can be seen demolishing the lead blocker on the second play of his junior season highlight's, to arrive at the QB for the sack. Lining up as the left defensive end, Vinny can be seen extending the play beautifully to the sideline on the third play and once again uses great technique to disengage from the offensive linemen. On the very next play, Carnazzo is seen beautifully avoiding the cut block and gets his hands up abruptly to cause a turnover for the Heritage football team, that goes all the way to the house!
TOP 2020 DL RECRUIT
Top 2020 DL recruit Carnazzo is also very stout in stopping the run, as he achieved 57 tackles on the season, with 19 of those coming for a loss. When watching him shed blockers, he is easily able to plug the running lane and devours the ball carrier before he can get up field. Out on the edge once again at around 1:57 into his highlight tape, it appears that blockers had enough of dealing with the tenacity this young man displays, as his first punch is extremely efficient at detaching from offensive linemen. He is able to read plays very well, as seen on the very next play and come down inside to make plays with his superior athletics. Vinny is a very quick offensive linemen for his stature and plays a lot like Ed Oliver in the way he can track down ball carriers from the backside.
