Jay Thomas is one of the best free safeties we have encountered thus far at Scout Trout, as he has exceptional athletics and is able to get to the ball very quickly, while enforcing his will on a offense. When seen at receiver, after a bone crushing hit, Thomas is seen in the screen passing attack and makes a breathtaking run, as he is able to find the 5th cutback lane, that me and Coach P talked about on my radio show. Thomas is a excellent return man and I could most certainly see him back deep when he arrives on the scene in big time college football. Creeping up in the box, at around 1:05 into his film, Thomas can be seen shooting the gap and makes a perfect form tackle for a loss. With Jay's height at the defensive back position, he reminds me of the Seattle Seahawks Kam Chancellor in the way he plays the game of football and with added muscle/weight, he very well could wind up playing on Sunday's, as he shows the skill needed to produce big plays for a defense and/or offense. I have yet to see this outstanding of a tackler in the defensive backfield this season, as seen at 1:38, as Thomas completely unearths the defender, by making yet another perfect "lever killing" tackle, which puts the ball carrier flat on his back. Jay can line up pretty much anywhere for you on offense and you can see his versatility in the slot, as he is able to catch a beautiful throw up the seam for a touchdown, at around 2:25 into this stellar highlight. Players like Thomas are all-around football players, which Scout Trout truly covets. You will see Thomas take a onside kick nearly to the house and is able to make defenders look silly, as they appear to be on ice skates with his stellar agility that he possesses and a full arsenal of moves. At 3:35, Thomas is able to deliver the All-Madden "Truck Stick" and annihilate the defender in his path. The route seen at 3:40, shows me Jay can also be a elite wide receiver, as he runs a perfect corner route in the red zone, as he is able to push his receiver inside and break to the corner precisely, so his Quarterback can deliver the ball for yet another touchdown for Thomas. Thomas shows immense focus two plays later, as he is able to catch a ball with his outstretched arms, after he tips the ball to himself and then is able to absorb a hard hit and bounce right off to keep the pigskin moving downfield. The next play, he shows uncanny ability to get his feet down, while focusing on the football through immense traffic, which is just one of the many reasons we have selected Jay Thomas for our Scout Trout All-American Class of 2018 Bowl in Prichard, Alabama! We will be playing the same weekend as the NFL Reese's Senior Bowl and we are truly appreciative that our host state will have 16 players represented to take on the almighty team north and the legendary coaches that Scout Trout has acquired, through simply studying their methods and watching the young men they coach flourish on the gridiron. Team South has three of the best coaches in the south, as far as builders of athletes and most of all MEN! Coach Reid (Tampa Bay Bucs/Bandits) was our newest coach we have added to our now elite coaching staff and you can check them out on the Bowl Info/Practice tab, which I will link below. The road to the Scout Trout All-American Bowl and The NFL Reese's Senior Bowl has been up and down battle, as we have arrived as a major threat to many in the game. If you know anything about Scout Trout, we would love to have you join us, as the saying goes, if you can't beat them, you mine as well join them! I am extremely pleased with the roster set forth and I want to thank all the members from Team North that will be joining this week! See you all in Alabama and I look forward to watching you all battle it out in practice and take the field one last time to end your historic high school careers in one of the most historic venues in the deep south! Welcome to the CITY OF CHAMPIONS!

Malik Jordan is an amazing interior linemen prospect out of our host state of Alabama! Hailing from Aliceville High School, Jordan is extremely quick off the football on both sides of the ball and produces pancakes with extra butter, syrup and even adds powdered sugar, driving his opponents viciously into the turf. The first play of Malik's highlights, you will witness him destroy the nose guard and give him no hope, as this young man's style of play will completely wear a defensive front out for four quarters. As a pulling guard on the next play, Malik's athleticism can be seen in how he makes magnificent blocks and shows how quickly he can react to produce yet another pancake block to avoid a significant loss for his ball carrier. Pulling once again, Jordan is utilized as a lead blocker and is able to once again annihilate anything in his path, landing another defender flat on his back to part the red sea for his running back. When run-blocking on the very next play, Jordan is able to burst off of the line of scrimmage and create a massive push, that is extremely valuable in short yardage situations. Malik demonstrates some of the best footwork we have seen at Scout Trout for a pulling Guard. It is a major reason he has been selected as a Scout Trout All-American and will be playing alongside his teammates Tykeem Doss and Adrevious Johnson at the historic Prichard Stadium! Malik can seen using the same tenacity on the defensive side of the football, as he is also a stellar defensive tackle. Malik extends his arms well and is able to locate the ball carrier, while creating yet again a great push off the line of scrimmage. Malik's film shows the strength of 2 or 3 people, and his weight room numbers verify this. With a 600LB Deadlift, 415LB Squat, 325LB bench and a 265LB clean, Malik proves that he is going to an unstoppable force in the world of College Football! I want to thank him and the players from Aliceville for joining Team South's roster, and I am extremely excited to watch you all perform in our Hog competition along with our Class of 2018 Scout Trout All-American Bowl! Team South is looking extremely tough up front now, and we are ready to get the show started!

Caleb Goodine is one of the hardest hitting defensive players we have come across and I am extremely excited to welcome him to Team North, for our inaugural Scout Trout All-American Class of 2018 Bowl Game! On the first play, Caleb is able to use his hands extremely well to disengage from the offensive linemen and proceeds to move laterally extremely quickly, to make a bone shattering tackle on the running back. Caleb Goodine's swim move is one of the quickest and most effective we have seen at Scout Trout and I cannot wait to stand him up, as a Outside Linebacker and also let him put his hand in the dirt, as he is extremely quick off the ball. The leverage Goodine is able to gain at around :40 seconds, shows his great strength and technique that he plays with and it creates a vicious Quarterback sack. Caleb is extremely well coached in stopping the run and is able to hold outside contain for his defensive unit extremely well. Caleb is a absolute nightmare for a opposing offense, as you will see why I think he will be a outstanding linebacker in most college systems, at around 1:25, when he is able to completely torch the offensive tackle. Goodine is able to keep his legs churning on tackles and brings ball carriers to the turf like the beast he is on the gridiron. He shows he very proficient at defending the option a few plays later and does not bite on the fake, by the opposing Quarterback. Caleb uses a variety of moves to create pressure on the Quarterback, while utilizing his speed and strength to fly around and track down ball carriers. I am very pleased that Caleb has accepted his invitation for the 2018 Scout Trout All-American Bowl, as we creep closer to showtime, I do not think we could have a better fit for Team North!

Nelson Harbin is a big interior linemen, who gets off the ball quickly and is very good at opening the hole, per play design. As we inch closer to the first ever Scout Trout All-American Bowl weekend, Harbin is ready to battle with team south and win the first ever Scout Trout All-American bowl, against the legendary Coach Boggs and Coach Justus, who will be leading the way for Team North. As a defensive tackle, Harbin reminds me of the great Tony Siragusa of the Baltimore Ravens. He plays great A gap control defense and at any given time will end up in the backfield, as seen above, smothering the ball carrier in the backfield. Nelson will be playing with the great wall that has been built for team's south offense, that it going to be extremely fun to watch. As I watch the Ohio State game and work rigorously for the All-American game., I am excited to announce our Jersey partners reside in Columbus, Ohio, where the great Urban Meyer reigns supreme, who recruited me when he left Utah after wining the Fiesta Bowl (Yes I am Old). We are pleased to announce that Traxler Printing will be handling our Scout Trout All-American jersey's and we have formed a partnership to make more Scout Trout products, that will be pleasing to the eye. Thanks for joining the Scout Trout family Nelson Harbin and I cannot wait to work with you, as I get are Jersey's made for the Scout Trout All-American game and start my way back to Alabama/New Orleans to work with you!

Sahvon Dillon was a transfer student this season and like some other QB's I know, found himself on a team that did not utilize the passing game. Sahvon's father contacted me in hopes of turning some collegiate coaches heads to propel his son to the next level. Well, Scout Trout was highly impressed with this young man's arm and his ability to throw receivers to a spot, with great precision and accuracy. His friend Bryson Ledet, who will also be joining us for our Scout Trout All-American Bowl weekend (recently ran a 4.41 in Daytona) and my class of 2019 exhilarating route runner Rontez Hall also was in attendance! As you will see above, Sahvon is able to make all of the big time college throws needed to excel at the next level. He also showed me that he has the determination and grit to play the Quarterback position at any level of college football. I am not one to look at high school stats, as they are 99% of the time very misleading. At Scout Trout, we evaluate players that our hungry for success and begin to help them build their individual resumes for the world of college football. Sahvon is a very savvy QB, that has earned his spot on my Scout Trout All-American Bowl roster and I am excited to get back to work with him and his crew, down in the deep south! We will overcome and we shall conquer any obstacle set forth by man, as they bleed the same as we do. Hope you had a happy holiday season my friend and I am excited to begin preparing you with your high football IQ father for college football, as you surely are deserving of a spot among the elite. See you in BAMA!
![]() Scout Trout is elated to welcome Coach Carey Reid to the Scout Trout All-American game, as our head defensive coordinator and technique guru! Playing for Steve Spurrier and even have played along side the hall of fame QB, Phil Simms during his collegiate days. The most impressive part about Reid's resume to Scout Trout, happens to be his stellar resume building young men, while helping them get to the mountaintop of football (College/Pro). He exudes the qualities needed to be a outstanding coach at any level and I am happy to bring him on our elite coaching staff, as he brings a vast knowledge of the game of football, education and recruiting to our team. Check out Coach Reid's outstanding resume as a player and also as a coach! Coach Reid has helped produce two Scout Trout All-American's and I am sure he will be bringing us more for years to come, if he doesn't get hired as a College/Pro Football coach, as his resume deems he is fit for the job! ![]() Coach Carey Reid Coaching Bio: Carey Reid, a native of Tampa, Florida began his coaching career in 1984. After graduating from Brandon High School, he attended Morehead State University on a football scholarship from 1977-1981. Carey Reid was a standout defensive back all four years. He also had the privilege of playing with Phil Simms who later went on to play quarterback for the New York Giants. After college, Reid played for the Tampa Bay Bandits in 1984, and then went on to play for the CFL Ottawa Roughriders in 1986. In 1987, Reid was a replacement player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the NFL strike. During his 34 year tenure as a high school football coach in the Tampa Bay area, as well as in Warsaw Missouri; Coach Reid coached in two state championship games in 2009 & 2015. Carey Reid has coached many young men who have played football at the collegiate level, 13 have gone on to play in the NFL. Three of these young men who are currently playing at the NFL level are Jahleel Addae of the San Diego Chargers, Chaz Green of the Dallas Cowboys and Geronimo Allison of the Green Bay Packers. While coaching at Tampa Catholic High School, Coach Reid had the privilege of coaching All-American Receiver, Darryl Jackson who went on to play for the Seattle Seahawks and All- American Quarterback, Kenny Kelly who went on to play MLB for the Seattle Mariners. Actor Channing Tatum was also a player on that Tampa Catholic High School team. I have seen this young man make some of the most unbelievable throws in his highlight's and this video below, proves he is ready for big time college football. In the next two videos below, Ryan is able to first drop a beautiful touch pass, into the bucket, at full court's length. The second video on the right, shows Ryan slinging a 53 MPH football, which I now believe is completely accurate, after catching Ryan's heaters, yesterday in Oak Hill, OH, which reminded me of the Hall of Fame QB, Terry Bradshaw. That being said, the fastest recorded MPH on a radar gun, at the NFL combine is 60MPH, thrown by Logan Thomas of the Virginia Tech Hokies. Joe Flacco, Quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, only throws 55MPH. We have found a radar gun, at Coach Boggs residence and Scout Trout is going to see what he throws, while up here preparing with Team North for the 2018 Scout Trout All-American Bowl.
Team North has some very intellectual Quarterback's and we are devising our plan of attack diligently, as the North prepares to clash with the extremely athletic and talented Team South. Ryan and Caleb in the video below, were working the power pistol run game we are installing and will be running the Scout Trout spread offense, which is heavily utilized to create mismatch nightmares all over the field. When everyone does there part/job, you will become a well-oiled machine that executes off of the overall design, that will be able to counteract the extremely athletic defense that Scout Trout has located for team south. Ryan LaAsmar is a D1 Quarterback if you compare him to others nationally, who are still vying for the few scholarship spots available on each college football team. The road to your final destination is never going to be a easy one in the dog eat dog world of college/pro football. You must work even in a downpour, as I have witnessed down south, the competition NEVER sleeps. We have the main "chess pieces" set for team north, and team south's roster is nearly finalized. I am working diligently to finalize both sides and we will be sending more invites out today. If you cannot attend our events and would like a Scout Trout profile, on the most heavily hit scouting database in the world (over 3,000 a day on average, with only 200 some players). The Holiday special is still in effect until the last day of the year for $34.99 profiles/report sent to over 600 collegiate programs nationally.

Anthony Wills completes our elite running back's for our Class of 2018 All-American Bowl roster and I am excited to bring this young bull to my power offensive scheme. With very stellar field vision and the ability to hit the cut back lane with great acceleration, this 5'11,210 power back can be a extremely effective workhorse for any college football program nationally. Much like the Pro Bowl Steeler Running back and former NFL leading rusher, Le'veon Bell, Wills is able to shift gears, being able to change speeds ,to allow his blockers the time to open his path to pay dirt. At around 1:35, you will witness Wills ability to carry defenders, while keeping his powerful legs churning, to pick up extra yardage. Watching Wills in the power option game, at around 1:46 into his film, you will see him take the pitch and quickly get downhill and is able to hammer his way through the opposing defense. Wills shows off his ability to throw the rock on the next play and completes a beautiful half-back pass to the corner of the end-zone! Wills can be used as a wildcat power downhill runner, as seen on the next play of this Scout Trout All-American highlight and proves to be extremely valuable in short yardage situations! The nifty little "dump pass" that he throws on the next play, is quite remarkable for a high school offense to employ. I am extremely pleased that Wills will be attending our Scout Trout All-American Bowl for the Class of 2018 and I am looking forward to sending this report off to the world of collegiate football!

Zayne Guthrie is a stand-out Quarterback, out of Addison High School, in our host state of Alabama. When it comes to dual-threat Quarterback's, Zayne reminds me of the Heisman Trophy winner, Eric Crouch, in the way he is able to operate in the option game, while throwing extremely effectively, while on the run. Zayne is very nifty with his run fakes in the option game, which creates a blind eye for the defense, as they have no idea which man will be toting the rock downfield. In the very start of Guthrie's highlight's, you will witness his game breaking speed, as he is able to swiftly maneuver between defenders and break to daylight, while running away from the competition. Guthrie can even be seen taking the ball on kickoff return, using the same agility and athletic prowess, to set his team up with prime field position. At around 2 minutes, Zayne can be seen taking the snap on a QB power and much like Eric Crouch, he is able to use amazing agility and subtle changes of speed, to elude defenders, on his way to pay dirt. Do not let Zayne's great running ability fool you, as he can also push the ball downfield with precision and accuracy, as seen at around 2:15 into his fantastic junior year highlight's. A few plays later, Zayne is seen scrambling to the left and delivers a perfect touch pass to his receiver for another long touchdown. His throw on the run, at around 3:30 into his highlight's, shows me he can really push the ball downfield with very good velocity, which will benefit him in the world of collegiate football. Zayne is a nightmare for a defense, while in the pocket, as he is able to weave in and out of defenders and if a play breaks down, will be off to the races in a flash! This young phenom will be competing at the 2019 Scout Trout All-American Bowl and I am extremely pleased with the talent the host state has presented us, as we inch closer to showtime! I want to thank Zayne and his family for joining the Scout Trout Militia and I also want to thank his teammate, Class of 2018 All-American Tyler Borden, for alerting Scout Trout to this wonderful talent from Alabama!

Adrian Soto comes to us from Pueblo County, Colorado, where he was able to produce over 100 yards a game on the season and 13 total touchdowns. On the first play of Soto's highlight's, you will see him being utilized in the power option attack and after he takes the pitch, he is able to take the ball all the way for a touchdown, using great agility to avoid defenders. Soto is seen on kickoff return on the next play and he takes the kickoff all the way for the score, showing great vision for a young back. Adrian is a extremely tough runner, who is able to run between the tackles extremely well and proves that he can be used in most all, short yardage situations, to deliver you a first down and/or touchdown. Adrain shows very good route running ability in his film and the ability to catch the ball, even if lined up in the slot, as a receiver. Soto has the frame of a division one running back and is able to utilize it, to his advantage, implementing a masterful stiff-arm, that can be seen around 1:30, into his highlight's. Soto is able to out run much smaller defenders to the corners of the field, which is very impressive and shows this young man has the JUICE, to succeed at a high level in the world of collegiate football. His run at around 3:00 minutes, is one of the best of his film, as he is able to very quickly take the pitch and get up field to be able to dance through several defenders downfield, exhibiting superior footwork, especially for a young back his size. Soto can be seen lining up in the slot position, on the next play and is able to run a great "seam" route and make a outstanding over the shoulder catch, showing you more of what a outstanding Student-Athlete he really is. Soto is a tackle breaking machine and shows the entire skill set of a superior running back in college football. Soto and his family will be attending the Scout Trout All-American Bowl and suiting up for Team North! Scout Trout is very excited to have him come from Pueblo, Colorado!
