DB/ATH Aarin Hill 2025 ALL-AMERICAN Davidson HS (AL) 6'1",165 GPA - 3.2 Player notes - Top 2025 DB recruit Aarin Hill is off to a terrific sophomore season campaign in South Alabama and is showing early signs that he possesses the skill-set to start rising rapidly in the world of football recruiting as one of the nation's elite 2025 defensive back recruits. Hill is a very sound tackler who possesses the physicality needed to come up and make plays in the run game, while also exhibiting stellar coverage capabilities over the top of the defense in zone coverage. Aarin proves to be able to read plays instinctively from the safety position and sink into coverage over the top with great fluidity to break up passes at the ball's highest point, as he is one best overall athletes at the DB position in the 2025 recruiting class. Hill is able to stick inside the receivers hip pocket in the man to man coverage and does an excellent job at tracking the ball in flight to utilize his uncanny athletics to break up pass attempts. When tracking down ball carriers, Hill is able to plant his back foot in the turf without any false steps and take great angles of pursuit while possessing the ability to cover an immense amount of ground rapidly. DB Silas Davis 2025 ALL-AMERICAN Katy HS (TX) 5'9",165 GPA - 3.0 SAT - 1000 Player notes - Top 2025 DB recruit Silas Davis possesses the raw athleticism and gritty style of play that projects extremely well as a top 2025 nickel back recruit, as he reminds me of a much younger version of the Honey Badger with his disruptive style of play. Davis is able to stick his back foot in the ground quickly after coming out of his backpedal and abruptly close ground to break up would be pass attempts with his keen ball tracking skills. Upon arrival at the football, Davis proves to have the physicality needed to drive ball carriers abruptly to the turf and/or dislodge the ball from the receivers grasps. Silas is very sound in man to man coverage and is able to use his excellent hip mobility to quickly flip his hips up the field to stay in the inside pocket of receiving targets. Davis will look to build upon a fantastic start to his young career with Katy HS (TX) and possesses the capabilities to become just as decimating to opposing offenses as Tyrann Matheiu was during his time at LSU. DB Hylton "Drake" Stubbs 2025 ALL-AMERICAN Oakleaf HS (FL) 6'2",180 GPA - 3.5 Player notes - Top 2025 SS recruit Drake Stubbs is one of the best overall athletes in the nation and has earned 8 division one FBS offers early in the recruiting process, after a stellar Freshman year at Oakleaf HS in Florida. Drake possesses all of the dynamic athletic attributes needed to excel at the collegiate level as a top tier defenseman or more of a highly coveted "Swiss Army Knife" prospect, who can fill multiple roles in all three phases of the game. His stellar combine numbers at 6'2,180 pounds will only improve as he is also one of the hardest workers in his class, who possesses a mass amount of upper body strength as well as the speed and lower body strength to project as a hybrid SS/OLB recruit. Drake proves to have an excellent football IQ as he is able to fluently sink into zone coverage while reading the offenses play design to undercut passes for game changing interceptions. He also is ferocious up in the 8 man box and is not afraid to lower his shoulder to take ball carriers quickly to the ground, as he is one of the more aggressive defensive backs in the 2025 recruiting class. DB Eligah Hanks III 2025 ALL-AMERICAN Boerne HS (TX) 6'3",180 GPA - 3.8 Player notes - Top 2025 DB recruit Eligah Hanks III is an extremely versatile football recruit and his highly intriguing athletic skill-set projects in a multitude of ways at the collegiate level. Hanks III is entering his Sophomore season at 6’3”,178 pounds and proved to be able to shut down much smaller receivers on the outside with his excellent man to man coverage techniques, while also exhibiting stellar overall tackling capabilities when tracking down ball carriers. Elijah’s massive frame, agile route running and stalk blocking technique add to his overall value as a top 2025 football recruit, as he could also make an impact as an outside receiver at the next level. When in man to man coverage on the outside, Elijah is able to flip his hips instantaneously in synchronization with the receiver up the field and locate the ball quickly in flight to use his long arms to break up pass attempts. In my opinion, Hanks III is your prototypical over the top free safety with his ability to rapidly cover ground and proves to possess the physicality needed to make plays all over the field in both the run & passing game. Logan is able to diagnose plays instinctively from the safety position and break on the football quickly, while proving to be one of the more sure tacklers in the 2025 football recruiting class. He also possesses outstanding overall hip flexion and is able to sink and flip rapidly when rotating over the top of the defense while locating the ball in flight to intercept passes. DB Brandon Broadwater 2025 ALL-AMERICAN Carolina HS (SC) 5'9",160 GPA - 3.0 Player notes - Top 2025 ATH recruit Brandon Broadwater excelled as both a wide receiver and defensive back recruit at Carolina Academy in South Carolina during his freshman season, as he possesses the rapid quick reflexes needed to excel in one on one match-ups on either side of the ball. Brandon is very physical up at the line of scrimmage in press coverage and is able to quickly flip his hips to stay with receivers down the field while tracking the ball in flight to break up pass attempts. Broadwater also proved to be a significant factor as a wide receiver and is a very cerebral route runner that can burst up the field quickly to consistently move the chains in the short to intermediate passing game. He also is very adept at adjusting his body appropriately while tracking the ball in the flight to haul in tough receptions in heavy traffic and is starting to develop the top end speed to blow the top off the defense in the passing game. ATH Luke Thompson 2025 ALL-AMERICAN Liberty Christian (TX) 5'11",170 GPA - 4.0 Player notes - Top 2025 football recruit Luke Thompson is one of the most versatile athletes in the nation in the 2025 football recruiting class and possesses uncanny overall athletics for such a young age. Thompson can be seen taking the top off the defense on seam routes with his blazing track speed and proves to be able to locate the football very easily in flight, while also being a very sure handed receiving target. Luke also uses great ball carrier vision when bursting through running lanes as a running back and is extremely tough to bring down in the open field. He plays with a very high motor on the defensive side of the football and can track down opposing teams play-makers with his cheetah like characteristics on the gridiron of Texas HS football. The Sanger, Texas top football recruit also demonstrates very good wiggle and burst after the catch, which not many have in his age bracket with his 5'11,155 pound stature. I love his tenacious style of running after the catch and his ability to find the 5th cut-back lane, which very few much older top skill position recruits are able to locate.
