Every year this time approaches where we have to make difficult choices that will reflect the final outcome of our destinations. On our end, this butterfly effect now effects millions across the landscape at the next level football. The methods I use as a coach are the same ones I used as a top K recruit coming out of high school, as I was knocked down by others time and time again in my hometown. I had to transfer 4 times (Dad was a missionary bush pilot after the NFL) and dealt with eligibility issues, after being the first player on Varsity at Washington Township High School in New Jersey. I had arguably the best coach in the history of South Jersey in Coach Tom Brown, who was borderline ruthless in how he operated his program from top to bottom. I dealt with politics and was even choked in a state playoff game by my own OL coach, who said he was in camp with the NY Jets in 8th grade. After experiencing a near death experience in a car accident my sophomore year of high school, I found myself on home school hospice after being in a coma. I transferred my Junior season and hit some long field goals, only to wake up the #2 kicker in the nation on Rivals.com. My Senior year was one to remember, as I got to do everything I ever had wanted on a football field, until we found out I was ineligible from not having enough "core classes" to positively bring my weighted GPA to the necessary score. I spent a year of Prep school at Hargrave Military Academy with Coach Robert Prunty and many other future NFL stars, along the way it was here I realized my full potential as an overall athlete. Why? Because I was told to stick to kicking, as that was my easiest path to the NFL. Playing for another high energy coach like Coach Prunty made me realize how much of a man's game this really is. I then became the hardest hitting free safety you would ever see at that level. I led the team in interceptions, after being ridiculed by the offensive coordinator time and time again, all while living in a strict military environment. This environment not only made me read my Bible everyday in a attempt to find a deeper connection with God, but also prepared me mentally on what it takes to succeed at the highest levels of college and pro football.

Failure Is The Biggest Part TO Success

You are going to fail, everyone does, so conquering your fear of failure is step number one. Step two is figuring out the proper steps to not let it happen again. The thing I love about failing is the reward and satisfaction you get out of fixing the issues that caused the hiccup. My father always said if I kept my mouth shut I would have made it further, much quicker, but when you are failing because of instability around you, you must right the ship before all is lost. Remember, you must take care of yourself before you can attempt to take care or help someone else. (Thanks Maddy's Mom for that lesson).

After preparing for NFL workouts with a local arena team that I signed with in Colorado, I experienced yet another traumatic brain injury after being targeted on a drop kick. After playing this game at a high level for over 20 years, God had shown me that this was not my final destination or outcome. Now being almost 30 years old, I made a CHOICE to coach young men in the most unique way. This style and philosophy exists in only in the best coaches in the industry today. These tactics were developed over years of FAILING and refusing to except that final outcome. Every single one of you can get better by defining your everyday process until the diamond has been formed. Simple psychology studies of the human brain and how it correlates and connects to your athletic movements, will show you how to master your full potential.
