Devon Banaszak comes from the same family blood line as Scout Trout, when it comes to being a Pittsburgh Steeler. His Uncle, John Banaszak, played from 1975 to 1981 for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and just happened to be a team mate of my fathers in 1981. John got to help the Steelers win 3 Super Bowls and then got to play in the esteemed USFL for the Memphis Showboats with the likes of Reggie White. He now is the Head Coach at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh. Devon shows the same BRUTE strength that his uncle did, to say the least, as he is able to put up remarkable numbers in the weight room! Check his numbers out below! They are in green because these are HULK like numbers for a class of 2018 prospect, at ANY position.
40 YARD DASH- 4.9BENCH (MAX) - 375LBS
185LB BENCH X 42 reps

When I was putting Devon's highlights together, you can see his amazing strength in the way he plays the game. His first play at Linebacker, you will see this young man's ability to STUFF the run in the hole and lays the Running Back flat on his back, with a perfect aggressive form tackle. The 3rd play of Devon's highlights, you are able to witness a JACK LAMBERT like tackle, in the way this young man aggressively seeks and destroys the running back. On special teams, Devon is a complete wrecking ball on kickoff team and with his 3.5 GPA, will be a instant contributor to any College football program. Coming down hill on the blitz, Devon is down right scary to block and once he starts to develop his finesse moves, shall prove to be unstoppable at the next level. A true Steel Curtain is built on players like Devon Banaszak! His run from the Fullback position reminded me of the Great FRANCO HARRIS, in the way he is able to create separation with a stiff arm and take it all the way to the house!
