![]() Scout Trout's number one overall prospect initially had only one offer from SMU going into the evaluation period this spring. Daimarqua Foster having broken the Texas State rushing record and scoring 50 touchdowns last season, was able to grade out extremely high in the "stats" category and his play reminded me of NFL running back and TCU legend Ladainian Tomlinson in the way he simply would just not go down. Ranking him the number running back I knew I was going to feel the immense pressure of everyone who suffered from COGNITIVE Dissonance and be told that backs with a FBS power five committed o-line blocking for them were better, based off of the academy or "lab" they went to. But then offers came from the likes of Texas Tech, Houston, Baylor and recently even VA Tech which was able to solidify my ranking going into the release of the Top 300. I got a hold of Foster's academics and I was not at all surprised that his work ethic that translated to his play on the gridiron, was just as exemplary in the classroom as well. With true, 4.4, 40 yard dash speed and having been one of the best linebackers on the Huskies the year prior, Daimarqua also has one of the best overall "combine" numbers in all of the land if you go by ESPN and the NIKE Opening results. I also compared Foster to Allen Iverson, whom was a legend in VA at the QB position and a master of es-capability, which is a dominant trait of the Husky. I had no idea that Tomlinson was Foster's all-time favorite running back, but it would make sense, as his play resembles the Hall of Fame back's and Foster will prove he is also Heisman Trophy material candidate material when he gets on campus with the TCU Horned Frogs. ![]() Written 6/2/2018 - There is a old saying that "the cream always rises to the top" and it surely has today, as Daimarqua Foster announces his first 12 offers from FBS programs. After his first initial offer from SMU, Foster was rated our number one overall running back, as he was able to rush for 3,270 yards rushing, 46 rushing touchdowns, 2 punt return touchdowns. "And to top it all off, my team and I went 4 rounds deep.." Since then, Foster has received 11 in total in the wake of his title as the king of the Scout Trout S.T.E.P ratings kingdom.
Everyone has their favorites or reasons for why they do things in this game, and when I got to finally put together Daimarqua's body of work in totality, I realized how special he truly was as an overall athlete and football player. I happen to know a lot about Hirschi High School football, as I have been following them for many years and have watched them go from a 0-10 team to a dominant team in the talent rich state of Texas. Daimarqua is a Ladanian Tomlinson-type back when it comes to power and the football skills needed to excel in carrying the football, blocking and catching passes out of the backfield. But his Husky escape-ability reminds me of the the Hampton, VA football legend Allen Iverson when you compare the two side by side. What also intrigues me is the fact that they are two of the toughest players I know when grading the intangibles to succeed on the court and the football field. Iverson was able to go out and drop 30 a night because of his determination and grit that he developed on the football field and the street ball courts of Hampton and Norfolk, VA. Daimarqua proved to have the same thick skin as Scout Trout's G.O.A.T. in the game of basketball and helped lead the Huskies deep into the Texas State playoffs last season and was one of two running backs nominated for Mr.Football in the State of Texas. He was rated number one overall off of his body of work on and off the field, as he will most certainly count positively towards whatever school he attends. Daimarqua Foster exemplifies what a Scout Trout All-American should stand for and is why I believe that this season in the state of Texas, it is the year of the Husky! ![]() I started my pipeline program in a town called Wichita Falls,Texas after playing 7 games for the IFL Wichita Falls Nighthawks. I felt that the Huskies could serve as a test to see if this model would be beneficial to young men that were overlooked, and here we are today. ![]() Diamonds are formed in the Earth's mantle and delivered to the earth's surface by deep-source volcanic eruptions, which produce the kimberlight and lamproite that is highly sought after by diamond prospectors. ![]() Foster created his own volcanic eruption in the state of Texas last year and can handle any heat brought upon him, as he is getting close to our first DIAMOND rated prospect. To earn a Diamond rating, you must achieve a 9.0 S.T.E.P rating, we will be sending more nominations out daily to Scout Trout All-American prospects and much more! |
