JOhnny Taylor 6'2,280 LB OL/DL - sCOUT tROUT cLASS OF 2020 aLL-aMERICAN
Johnny Taylor and the Hirschi Huskies football team have a lot in common when it comes to overcoming adversity. Johnny had what was thought to be a career ending knee injury his freshmen season on varsity as the Huskies looked to rebound from a 0-10 season in 2015. In 2016, Coach Youngs relied on his philosophy of building from the ground up, as his freshmen and JV teams were loaded with up and coming stars like Lloyd Murray and Daimarqua Foster. Roman Turner, Gerrick Mckinney and Marquez Vrana were key components to the Huskies making the Texas state playoffs the following season and Coach Youngs overall design for the Huskies program started to take shape. Coach Youngs was responsible for helping many of the young men on this 6-5 Hirschi High School football programs find homes at the collegiate levels.

Hirschi Huskies Football 2017 (11-3)
JT was able to rehabilitate his knee and become stronger as an athlete to come back last year to help aid the Huskies to a dominating season in the talent rich state of Texas. Taylor is seen lining up mostly at left tackle in his film below and can be seen making key blocks for most of Foster's record breaking runs that made the TCU commit our #1 rated prospect in the nation. I have JT at Guard, not because of his size, but because he moves his feet very well for a class of 2020 linemen and appears to have the skill-set of a tenacious pulling guard. He fits perfectly right now as a Tackle at the high school level and is a "inter-changeable" linemen for the next level and the might Hirschi Huskies. Taylor is also a terrific Nose Tackle and get to compete daily with College Football Today's top class of 2019 defensive tackle Lloyd Murray, who recently took a visit to the University of Alabama. The overall competitive nature that I have watched Coach Youngs instill in the Huskies is unparalleled in high school athletics today and is a big reason the Huskies can inevitably hoist a Texas State Title this coming season. You can see JT's best blocks below and once again watch Foster and the Huskies offense torch the competition in the state of Texas.
The 2018 Hirschi Huskies
The Huskies were able to make a deep run into the 2017 Texas State playoffs and are heading into the 2018 season with two of College Football Today's top ranked 2019 recruits in Lloyd Murray and Daimarqua Foster. With College Football Today's 43rd ranked top 100 Class of 2020 recruit Johnny Taylor creating enormous running lanes for the likes of Foster, the Huskies are looking like they will be making another run deep into the Texas State playoffs. With the loss of the extremely consistent Martez Vrana at the QB position, the Huskies will look to fill that roll with the best safety from last year's team in Nate Downing. The Huskies will once again face fierce competition heading down the stretch and Scout Trout trained kicker, Jhaidon Duran will play a pivotal role in providing points in the clutch. Duran is automatic from 50 yards and in, while he also has the ability to strike from deep when given the chance. Duran made the Huskies hype video--featured above--and is the leader of the Huskies' special teams unit. With ice running through his veins and the state title on the line, I would bet on Duran to come through 10 out of 10 times, as he is the ultimate teammate and competitor.
The Year of the HuskyThe Hirschi Huskies - THe Year of Revenge
The Huskies should not have to be motivated by anything this season except the video featured of the highlights from last year's quarter final loss to Stephenville. Yes, the Huskies did better than the years prior, but they are too talented to lose by mistakes like fumbled punt snaps and sloppy play. Coach Youngs has been instilling more and more discipline in these young men over the off season, as I have witnessed on the Huskies Twitter. I believe if the Huskies can find a way to play mistake-free football and still take shots when mismatches present themselves, they will find themselves advancing all the way to the State Finals in 2018. The stars only align in this fashion ever so often, as they will keep in alignment if you ALL mold as a unit and play together for the entire 2018 season. I know why the Huskies play football and the history behind each and every program in the state of Texas. Yours is truly special, as you have been an inspiration to many, and if you remain diligent in your daily grind or "process", you will have a memorable season in Wichita Falls, Texas! Cant' wait to watch and report on the show and congrats on all of your success Coach Youngs and the entire Hirschi Husky's family! Now go get STATE!
