Top 2023 ATH Connor Theriault update - 2023 All-American FB recruit Connor Theriault is the definition of a total package football recruit and after re-evaluating Theriault's Sophomore campaign, I have named him to my 2023 All-American team as a defensive back. The brilliant 5'10", 180 pound Wando defensive Warrior is arguably one of the most intriguing prospects I have had the honor to scout, as his relentless pursuit of perfection has been visibly noticed through his growth on & off the field of play. Conner's academic excellence off the field landed him in the prestigious Duke talent identification program (DUKE TIP), as he boasts a 4.130 GPA and is a member of the National Society of HS Scholars. After re-evaluating Conner's 2020 season highlight's and his stellar tackling abilities, as well as his innate ability to weave through traffic on kickoff team, he also could transition into an OLB role in the near future. His versatility on the defensive side of the football and on special teams will make him an instant impact recruit at the next level, as his potential is limitless with the optimal growth he has exhibited since the release of his August 3rd, 2020 scouting report. Theriault is very adept in both man & zone coverage schemes and is able to stay in the hip pocket of receiving targets, while keenly being able to diagnose and quickly close gaps in the running game. He is able to utilize a nearly flawless "rugby style" tackling technique upon arrival at ball carriers, as you will see Connor continually sweep the legs of backs to bring them abruptly to the turf. The overall acceleration Conner demonstrates in both workouts and on the field, gives him a clear advantage when making up ground in the passing game to deflect passes and his overall body of work exemplifies what it means to be a College Football Today All-American football recruit.
Top 2023 athlete recruit Connor Theriault will be highly recruited at all levels of College Football Today, as he has been selected as a Pre-Season Academic All-American. He aspires to pursue a career in Biology and Genetics, as he could be one of the most brilliant recruits in the 2023 football recruiting class. Connor also exhibits cerebral play on the gridiron of South Carolina and we expect him to have a breakout season on Varsity for the Wando Warriors football team. Theriault is pound for pound one of the most gifted defensive players in the State of South Carolina and is one of the surest tacklers you will watch on tape. He has outstanding overall athletics, as he has very visible 4.6 speed, burned a 4.18 shuttle and was able to leap 8'9" while performing the broad jump. He has very good upper body strength and bench pressed 185 X 7, as he is an extremely hard worker and trains intuitively. I expect him to shoot up the College Football Today 2023 Top 300 football recruit rankings this season, after he begins to acclimate himself to the Varsity football level. 2023 top ATH recruit Connor Theriault is one of the most athletic 2023 football recruits on the defensive side of the football, after evaluating his 2019 highlight's and possesses a brilliant upside on and off the field. Connor reads plays instinctively from the MLB position and shows outstanding acceleration when attacking the football, while also being a very sure hog tying tackler for the Wando HS defense. Theriault uses his body extremely well when fending off would be blockers and has outstanding overall flexibility when maneuvering through traffic. He proves to be able to cover from sideline to sideline and with added mass over the next few years, could pan out to also be a highly coveted LB recruit in the future. Connor currently carries a 4.035 GPA and has many high academic college football programs inquiring about his future services. I obviously am highly intrigued with the overall potential Theriault has in his body of work thus far and am fully anticipating him to climb the step ratings ladder in the future.
