TOP 2022 LINEBACKER RECRUITS

We have added Lonnell Owens-Pabon to our top 2022 linebacker recruits and he was able to rank 15th overall in a star studded class of linebacker recruits. Lonnell is a very cerebral ball player from evaluating tape and also has very strong academics, as he has a 3.57 GPA (Honors) heading into his junior campaign. He is a competitor year around as a three sport athlete, who competes in track and field and is one of the best wrestlers in the State of Maryland. After the College Football Today Top 2022 Football Recruit re-rank, Lonnell was able to earn a 8.5998 STEP rating in an elite 2022 LB recruit group and will be one of the best 2022 college football recruits coming out of the State of Maryland. TOP 2022 LB RECRUIT

Top 2022 LB recruit Lonnell Owens-Pabon is a high octane defensive player, who possesses outstanding closing speed and plays with tenacity on the gridiron of Maryland HS football. Lining up as an edge rusher, Lonnell can be seen quickly penetrating the opposing teams backfield and wreaking havoc play after play. His fast twitch off the edge makes him extremely hard to handle in the trenches, as he is able to fight through double teams very easily and create turnovers for the South River defense. Pabon is a brutalizing tackler and keeps his legs churning to finish tackles, as he possesses an extremely motor and exhibits brute strength when wrapping up ball carriers. His ability off the edge is quite intriguing to say the least, as he has an extremely quick get off and an innate ability to dislodge the football to cause fumbles. 2022 LB recruits should be adept in man to man and zone coverage schemes, as college football can be a very pass happy affair on any given night. I have been receiving top football recruits highlight's from camps and workouts this off-season, as I recently obtained some footage of top 2022 LB recruit Lonnell Owens-Pabon in 7 on 7. As you will see in the Scout Trout YouTube video below, Lonnell is able to make contact inside the 5 yard yard barrier and quickly flip his hips to stay in the receivers hip pocket. He was able to key in on the receivers tendencies and realize the football was in the air, while getting his arm up to potentially break up the pass. Instead, he quickly located the football in the receivers arms and is able to strip the football away for an interception. He not only proves to be a significant force in the 8 man box, but also has outstanding coverage abilities and will be a fast rising 2022 LB recruit at College Football Today.
