TOP 2022 FOOTBALL RECRUITS
The new College Football Today top 2022 football recruits features yet another Dickinson HS football phenom in Dereiaz Wilson, who is one of the best interior defensive linemen in the nation. He is synaptic ally quick off the snap off the football and reminded me of a young Aaron Donald in the way he can wreak havoc in the opponents backfield. His football combine numbers are off the charts for his stature, as he was able to run a 4.87,40 yard dash and bench presses 315 pounds. Wilson was able to enter the College Football Today recruit rankings with a flabbergasting 8.6415 STEP rating and is currently ranked the 15th best 2022 defensive tackle recruit in the nation. TOP 2022 DT RECRUIT
Top 2022 DT recruit Dereiaz Wilson plays with outstanding technique in the trenches, while battling through the offensive interior line. Wilson is able to gain leverage quickly off the snap of the football and is able to shed defenders with his stellar upper body strength, while being adept in hand to hand combat in the trenches. Dereiaz is able to keep his arms extended upon engagement and quickly find the ball carrier to bring him to an abrupt halt. He is very keen at dealing with chop blocks, as he uses quick wit and violent hands to drive offensive linemen into the turf and exhibits a high motor in pursuit of the football. His overall athletics are freakish at the defensive tackle position, as he runs a 4.87, 40 yard dash, which is among the elite athletes at his position and class. His pass rush abilities have the potential to be like NFL All-Pro Aaron Donald, as the two are very similar in their style of play on the interior line.
2022 TOP DEFENSIVE TACKLES
2022 top defensive tackles should be training like Dereiaz Wilson is seen on his Twitter feed below. There is a reason he is so dominant on the playing field and Dickinson HS football is purely a football town. Having located the likes of Donovan Green as a Freshmen and watching him climb everyone's board, as the Top Tight End recruit in the nation. I believe the same will happen for Wilson, if he remains the determined young man that he currently is. Wilson is a freak athlete in the trenches to say the least, but he also is extremely technically sound in his dynamic methods used to get rid of blockers and swallow up ball carriers in the backfield. He can be seen playing with extended arms and using his hulk like strength to stand his ground through double-teams, while keeping his eyes keenly on the play developing. He is very adept at dealing with cut-blockers and is able to drive them into the ground, while using his 4.87 speed to track down running backs. Wilson can be seen lined up as a 3-4 nose guard and a 4-3 defensive tackle, as I believe he could excel in either position at the next level. Check out how well Dereiaz moves in the Tweet below!
A FOOTBALL TOWN
Why is Dickinson,Texas a football town and holds my utmost respect? Well, when Hurricane Harvey hit the coast of Texas, many in the town Dickinson,Texas lost everything, except their desire for the youth and the sport of American football. They were able to fight back against adversity and overcome many obstacles to get back to a normal way of living. The young men of Dickinson High School football are not only determined to make it to the top, but lack nothing in terms of work ethic and the desire to succeed. I do not own the rights to the video below, but as you will see even Hurricane Harvey couldn't stop the Gators from taking the field and putting on a show!
