Top 2021 football recruits at College Football Today features Texas All-State 2nd Team Utility, All Johnson County 1st Team RB, 4A All District RB & 4A All District LB selection Kolby Bartlett out of Godley HS in Texas, who is currently ranked 15th in the nation in the 2021 RB recruit rankings. Bartlett had a tremendous season on both sides of the football, while being able to rush for 1,405 yards and also had 231 yards receiving with 15 total touchdowns on the 2019 season. Even though he carried most of the offensive workload, Kolby's defensive numbers did not suffer, as he was able to tally 84 total tackles on the 2019 season. Bartlett should arguably be ranked on our Top 2021 ATH recruit rankings, as he is more of an iron man rather than a "Utility Player" in the world of College Football Today. The main conundrum of what Kolby Bartlett could be at the next level at the RB position, can be solved by watching the reflection of the former Patriots running back Danny Woodhead. TOP 2021 RUNNING BACKS

Top 2021 running backs at College Football Today is loaded with RB recruits who can strike for a long score from anywhere on the football field and also features a few traditional ground & pound workhorse type backs. When evaluation Kolby's 2019 season highlight's, he is a mix of both styles of running back and he has extreme burst once he finds his running lane that is paired with superior ball carrier vision. Bartlett is able to start and stop on a dime when weaving through traffic, as he possesses cat-like reflexes when sense making defenders miss. At Around 1 minute into the highlight's above, you will get to see Kolby's "top end" or breakaway speed, as he scampers down the sideline for one of his 15 touchdowns on the season. The All-State Texas football recruit is a master at finding the cut back lane and keeping defenders off balance in his high-octane running style. After grinding out a red-zone touchdown, Kolby can once again be seen getting to the edge for a 50+ yard touchdown run and once again is able to show off his thoroughbred speed, as he leaves defenders in the dust. Bartlett is arguably one of the quickest running backs I have seen at identifying the running lane and is at the second and third level of the defense in the blink of an eye. When you combine his exhilarating quickness, speed and power with his innate ability to make defenders miss, you are looking at a young man who can take complete control of a football game.

TOP FOOTBALL RECRUITS

Danny Woodhead was never on any top football recruits list coming out of North Platte, Nebraska and played 10 season in the National Football League. Of course, his profile was added by Rivals & 247 Sports after he was drafted into the NFL, but he had one offer from Chadron St and he sure did make the most of it. Standing 5'8 and about 185 pounds, Danny Woodhead broke several NCAA rushing records, including the single season rushing & All-Time NCAA rushing records. He won the Harlon Hill Trophy for D2 football's Player of The Year in 2006 and 2007, which made him the 3rd player ever to accomplish this honor in back to back seasons. Woodhead held the NCAA Football (All Divisions) rushing record until it was broken in 2008 by D3 Mount Union running back Nate Kmic. Top 2021 RB recruit Kolby Bartlett could become Woodhead 2.0, if given the chance to be a team's primary running back at the next level. He also is a total package recruit and football player, as a member of National Honors Society Kolby is ranked 6th overall in his class at Godley HS and also excels at the LB position. Danny made a huge impact on special teams at the NFL level, as football geniuses like Bill Belichick look for cerebral all-around football players who are highly adaptable week to week. Much like Woodhead, Kolby is a tackling machine, but as a defensive linebacker who could easily transition into a strong safety role in the world of College Football Today. 23. North Carolina Tar Heels 
​The North Carolina Tar Heels football program hired legendary Head Coach Mack Brown to once again rebuilt the Tar Heels, as he did from 1988-1997. After two 1-10 seasons, Coach Brown made winning an expectation moving the Tar-Heels football program into the 90's, as he reeled off 8 winning seasons in a row before departing to turn Texas into a perennial Big 12 powerhouse. In Coach Brown's first season back with the Tar Heels, they were 7-6 with a completely new coaching staff besides Coach Thigpen. Sam Howell was able to win our College Football Today Freshmen of The Year Award and was rated the #2 overall QB recruit in the 2019 recruiting class with a 9.505 S.T.E.P rating, as he was able to throw for 3,641 yards and 38 touchdowns, while only tossing 7 interceptions on the 2019 season. He finished the season with a 160.2 QB rating and was the most productive freshmen in FBS college football. Sam is a big reason the Tar Heels start out in our preseason top 25 at College Football Today and will be in Heisman talks in 2020 or 2021. Oh, and there was that game against Clemson (21-20)!
