TOP WIDE RECEIVERS 2020
Top wide receiver recruits in the 2020 football recruiting class should look a lot like Lighty, as he is extremely gifted at making defenders miss and has exhilarating acceleration, along with game changing speed that is highly coveted at the next level. Working out of the backfield on the first play of Tyshawn's highlight's above, you will see exactly what I am talking about, as he is able to make the first defender miss in epic fashion and is able to bedazzle his way downfield for a 75 yard touchdown. On the next play, Lighty takes an option pitch and uses a quick synaptic spin move to avoid the first defender and carries opponents downfield for a first down.
2020 TOP APB RECRUIT
2020 top APB recruit Tyshawn Lighty could be defined in a variety of ways on the football field, but I believe his natural position is as a slot receiver in the world of College Football Today. Lighty is seen lining up in the slot on his third play of his highlight's and once again is seen torching the defense on a ball thrown slightly behind him. He makes a great adjustment on the football and is able to clearly pull away from defenders, en-route to another long touchdown. Tyshawn shows the ability to beat double coverage on the next play and sets his man up beautifully lined up as an outside receiver. This time, the ball is thrown perfectly so that Lighty can make yet another touchdown grab over the top of the defense. The agility that this young man shows on the next two plays is why I ranked him as the 6th overall wide receiver in the 2020 football recruiting class and as you will see, this kid will wreak havoc on opposing defensive backs for years to come.
2020 TOP WR RECRUITS
Many 2020 top WR recruits also excel on the defensive side of the football and Lighty is no exception to this fact, as he shows the game changing abilities at the safety position. Tyshawn can come up and make plays as a very sure tackler and is seen as a ball hawk when making key interceptions for the Lorain high school football team. Tyshawn Lighty also shows an outstanding ability to work himself open when his Quarterback is under duress, which proves he a truly elite overall athlete at the next level with his brilliant display of athletics in the talent rich state of Ohio.
TOP WIDE RECEIVERS NFL
One of the top wide receivers to play in the NFL and one of my favorites was Santonio Holmes of the Pittsburgh Steelers. When I watch Lighty play the game I am reminded of the same speed, agility and charisma that Santonio played with that helped the Steelers win a Super Bowl with "the catch". Players like Holmes have made Big Ben look good for years with their ability to work themselves open on the field and move the ball downfield after the catch. This should be another epic year in the state of Ohio and I cannot wait to watch Lighty perform even more spectacular feats on the gridiron.
