![]() Tony Richardson Jr. reminded me of the great Anquan Boldin when I first flipped through his highlights. Just like Boldin, he is able to catch the ball in traffic. His route running is amazing as you can see him stretch the field on a stop and go, on the second play of his highlights. When running with the football after the catch, Tony shows amazing ability to break tackles with his superior strength and agility at the receiver position. Tony shows the ability to also go up over defenders and make the tough catches for his squad. The block that Richardson Jr throws at 2:15 is a Boldin like block, that simply annihilates the defender. As you will see below, Tony has been on a national camp tour this summer and was able to produce fantastic results. I really like the way Tony is able to utilize his change of speeds to create separation and the physicality he brings to the receiver position. He is seen battling it out in 7 on 7 below and making the tough catches needed for his team's ultimate success. Tony can operate in the slot or out wide at the next level, and is extremely versatile with his overall skill set. Tony has two offers on the table and is clearly a outstanding receiver prospect for the Class of 2018. I look forward to seeing this young man in Mobile, Alabama at the Scout Trout All-American Showcase-Game.
