Tanner Rickle is a Class of 2019 early selection All-American out of Findlay High School in Arvada, Ohio, and when you watch his work below, you will see why we consider him an elite Quarterback nationally. Tanner exhibits excellent overall mechanics at the QB position and really transitions his body weight well when pushing the ball downfield, making it look almost effortless with his nearly flawless throwing motion. Tanner shows he can drop the ball in tight areas, using very graceful touch passes that land right in the receivers bread basket, with impeccable timing. On the third play, Rickle shows he can fit the ball in tight windows with his stellar arm strength and accuracy, slicing the ball between two defenders for a nice completion to move the chains. Tanner throws one of the best corner/fade routes, as seen on the next throw of his magnificent QB footage and has the arm strength to get the ball anywhere on the football field, as he throws with his body very well. Rickle is not your typical pocket passer though. He can orchestrate the read/option game extremely well, using his keen senses to dice his way through traffic with great agility and speed, as seen at around 1:08 into his film. With the pass rushers getting faster each year in big time college football, Tanner's ability to throw dimes on the run will benefit him immensely at the next level, and I have not seen too many throw it that well on the run since the Ohio U Bobcat himself Willie Cherry Jr! Tanner's style of running downhill is much like the Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, and the funny thing is, they are both lefties! Urban Meyer has nothing but outstanding remarks about his former QB for the Gators and should take a peak at what Scout Trout has to say in the updated Rickle report as I am sure Ohio State could use another QB like the enforcer Tim Tebow! Unlike Tim Tebow, Tanner already has a 10x better throwing motion and overall mechanics to be a prime time QB on ANY collegiate football program, as he can run multiple college style offenses and operate them at an extremely high level.
Sophomore Year Report![]()
When I evaluated Tanner not to long ago, I got to witness a very Big Athletic and efficient ball distributor, who was only a Sophomore! Tanner only got to play one half of every game and still managed to develop amazing timing with his receivers, completing 83 our of 130 passes for 1387 yards and 13 TD's! Tanner shows very good Dual-Threat capabilities and also has rushed for over 500 yards with 7 more TDs. Tanner throws the ball with very good technique and squares his shoulders well to push the ball downfield. He shows an excellent release and wastes no time getting the ball out of his hand, when delivering the ball from the pocket. Tanner shows a very aggressive running style and can lower his shoulder to get those pivotal first downs, moving the chains with effectiveness. Tanner is one of those QB's who keeps drives alive with the intangibles he possesses and I really like him in a College Style Offense! He has uncanny accuracy for a Class of 2019 QB and will be a highly sought after prospect when the time comes. I want to thank Tanner and his father Chad Rickle for allowing me to help fulfill his dreams of playing football at a high level! Congrats on a great Sophomore year, and thank you for being such an outstanding student-athlete!
