![]() Growing up playing midget Football and High School played QB, RB, NG, LB, Safety, KR,PR, DE, P and All-American Kicker. Was rated #2 Kicker in the Nation on Rivals.com, had to attend Hargrave Military academy, after dropping to #6, for the NCAA deeming me ineligible. Started Free Safety and led the Prep School National Champions in Interceptions with 4, Head Coach Robert Prunty (Cincinatti Bearcats) let me loose about the 3rd or 4th game. I also handled the Kicking and or Punting duties. After failing to qualify D1, I transferred to Catawba College where I played the Hybrid DE position/Kicker. I tore my MCL second week of the season and ended up transferring D1AA to Central Conn State University. Never played here as the Doctor, Myra Rosenstein said she would not clear me medically. I did however get attention of NFL scouts here, being able to show off my leg all spring before that draft class. I nailed a 68 yard field goal one day in the snow and was approached by several scouts. I than was going to transfer to a D1 school, but I would have to sit out two seasons before being eligible. I choose the NAIA and Graceland University, where I was a ground and pound running back and broke the school record for longest field goal, which was only 53 yards. I hope I can teach one of Coach Douglas's kickers how to break my record one day. I then went to the Corpus Christi Sharks of the AF2, that's when I learned about these 9 Ft Goal Posts. I missed a ton, to say the least, but learned many valuable lessons. I went back home not really knowing what to do and then got a call from David Canter, a big time sports agent out of Miramar, Florida! He was able to get me a ton of NFL workouts and exposure, while entering me into the 2009 NFL draft. I worked out for 17 NFL teams and will attach the articles below. I had just turned 21 and knew I was ready for the BIG TIME! The draft came and 16 teams graded me out, as a draft able prospect and I was on their draft boards! Then it came draft time and a phone call came in the 7th Rd, I still believe it was a prank call, stating the Seahawks were going to take me with one of their last 3 supplemental picks. This never happened, no real opportunity came after the draft. So I decided to go give the 9 foot goal posts a shot again. I ended up playing EVERYWHERE! My rookie year was the Reno Barons, then Albany Panthers, Cape Fear Heroes (NC), GB Blizzard, Coloardo Crush, Wichita Falls Nighthawks, Nebraska Danger and finally the last 4 games this past season with the Steel City Menace! I played linebacker this past season and dominated with over 25 tackles in 2 games, a safety and a few pass break ups. I nailed the first ever 4 POINT DROP KICK this season and have become deadly accurate with this technique. I am going to attach articles and videos below of my career. Their is a lot, so bare with me Georgia Firebirds!
Kicked entire season with torn hamstring in my kicking leg, BELOW! Look for the Biggest hit you will ever see, in a arena game, at around 12-13 minutes. It should be up front! #LightsOutTrout First Professional Fumble Recovery!
I have been in "SAVAGE" mode ever since the injury, being able to nail back to 75 yards on Field Goals! From Kicking Arena for so long, how can I ever miss on these huge poles! With all the Kicking issues in the NFL, I think that call might still come! #BOMBSAWAY
7 Years AGO! EYE OF THE TIGER! I am very happy with how far WE HAVE COME DAVE TROUT!
