Kimo Baldwin attended my Ohio Regional camp and was able to impress us with his overall athleticism and capabilities on a football field. Kimo has had a wild High School career as far as Coaches are concerned, and has battled through adversity time and time again. With his High School not even having a coach until as of late, Kimo has been working relentlessly to catch the eye of College staff. Kimo was able to put together a impressive combine, even with a slight shoulder injury. Kimo's shuttle was outstanding at 4.08 seconds, with a L-Drill of 7.1 and a broad jump of 8'7, this big, athletic young man is going to be a wrecking ball his Senior season. Kimo caught the ball extremely well out of the backfield and when lined up as a Wide Receiver. Kimo can be used as a Tight End/H-Back, at the next level and possesses Ray Lewis type abilities at the Linebacker position. As you will see in Kimo's Hudl below, Kimo is a outstanding runner at the Fullback position and is extremely hard to tackle! Kimo is a BULLDOZER for a lead blocker and will clear a path for a truck to run through. Kimo can be seen breaking tackle after tackle and at around 1:05, makes an unbelievable escape through intense traffic. Kimo is very quick at the MLB position and fills the hole extremely quickly, when meeting the ball carrier in the gap, Kimo puts him flat on his back. Kimo has outstanding game speed and you can see him hawk down a much smaller back from behind, at around 2:15 into his amazing footage. Kimo shows great ability in defending the pass and reads the play design very well. Kimo picks up backs out of the backfield very quickly and is able to break up the passes with ease. For a all-around Linebacker/Fullback type player, Kimo is one of the best we have seen for the Class of 2018. He is a hammer in short yardage situations at the next level and has very soft hands, paired with remarkable agility for such a big young man. Kimo's mental toughness is what I believe is going to take him a very long way in this game and in life. Kimo carries himself like a grown man and truly cares for others, with a unbelievably big heart. This heart and mind-set is going to carry Kimo to the mountaintop of College Football and possibly beyond. I want to thank Kimo and his mother for making the trip to Oak Hill, Ohio, and having such a great attitude, while leading by example. I am very excited to see Kimo and his mother in Mobile,Alabama at our 2018 Scout Trout NFL Senior Bowl Week Showcase/All-American game!
