  Jerod Lonaker is a tall Class of 2017 phenom at the QB position, coming to us from Cooper High School in Kentucky. Jerod's stats speak for themselves as he was able to throw for 3217 yards and 32 Touchdown's. Jerod had a 57 percent completion percentage and has very good overall mechanics when evaluating his throwing motion. Jarod was also able to rack up 402 yards on the ground and deliver 8 more scores with his wheels. Jerod throws the deep ball extremely well, as you will see in the beginning of his stellar highlights. He exhibits very good footwork when stepping up and delivering the football down field, as you can see on nearly every throw. At 1:20, he effortlessly slings a 50 yard bomb that hits his Receiver in stride for a score. When things appear to break down and no one is open, Jerod shows he has the capabilities to make plays with his legs as well. He shows he surely is not afriad of contact, as he will lower his shoulder if need be to gain those pivotal yards needed. Mr. Lonaker shows very good technique in the 3 step passing game and delivers the ball on time, on those all important timing routes. This wide open attack that Cooper High School ran was a perfect fit for this supreme dealer of the pig skin and it will translate to a very successful College Quarterback. I really like the way he stays in the pocket and is able to still deliver a perfect pass, while absorbing contact. At 6:04, you can see him roll to the left and deliver a strike, while being hammered to the turf! At 7:50, you can see how quick his release is as he gets the ball off in under a 1 second in his delivery.
