![]() Scout Trout is proud to announce our official medical partner Dr. John Kummrow, who has worked wonders for my overall athletic well-being. I truly believe if it wasn't for Dr. Kummrow's masterful medical techniques, I would not be preparing for my 10th Arena Football Season and another shot at the NFL. John has been around pro sports his entire life and worked with the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos, as a consultant under Dr. Mike Keirns. John specializes in Orthopedic/Neurological sports medicine and is by far the best Doctor I have had in my lifetime of playing sports. Here is a exert from his web site which I will link a button to at the bottom of the page. "The Fort Collins physical therapy practice developed by Dr. Kummrow at Integrative Physiotherapy is “integrative”, in part, because it recognizes the multi-dimensions of physical injury and wellness. However, Dr. Kummrow takes integrative physical therapy a step farther, recognizing that underlying a patient’s injury, response, and conditioning is a human body that consists of interdependent systems that can be deduced to discovering the initial dysfunction along with the current episode." You must read more on his web site, but I really do not think this Doctor missed one part of the human body. See I have learned through a vast study of the human brain that everything is connected, literally from head to toe. When I talk about synapse readings and how to train that part of your brain, it's to make you ten times quicker off a natural reaction, to whatever just occurred in front of you. This is how the ELITE basketball players are able to hit you with that Iverson crossover, they have trained that synapse part of their brain to be able to read your movements. Than they will react vivaciously off of that reaction and you will be flat on your back, while he drains the bucket. So if we know the brain controls every part of our body, than we also know that EVERYTHING is connected from the brain to all parts of the body. This is where John is different in the way he has worked on me. We have used very advanced techniques to bring me back from some of the worst injuries in my career. The last injury did not even happen on the Football field! Through dry needling, painful spinal manipulation, painful deep tissue massages, adjustments and constant extension training to expand my range, has also worked huge wonders for my kicking and overall athletic abilities. John is a major reason I am able to hit 70 yard field goals and keep working towards my goals, as a athlete. I also ask John why this and why that? He always has a very educated and logical response that actually makes a lot more sense to me than stuffing pills down my throat. I believe this is because John also was a STAND-OUT Safety, out of the great football state of Texas! John was playing football for Colorado State when he suffered a tragic injury. Here is another exert from his web site. " John Kummrow began his passion and respect for physical fitness and the quality of life that fitness provides as an athlete playing American football. That respect eventually led him to other athletic passions, including body building and martial arts. Tragically, John experienced the worst injury of his life following a collision on the football field just prior to graduation from Colorado State University. The medical community at that time, including many physical therapists and chiropractors in Fort Collins, concluded that due to the severity of the injury John would lose a large percentage of mobility in his right arm and shoulder. The severity included complete separation of the medial tricep from its attachment near the elbow, a grade three brachial plexus trauma (severe nerve injury) and a punctured brachial artery. Despite the opinion of the medical community, John believed that he could recover. He brought that belief to graduate school and earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Along the way, he applied his instincts and his education to his own injury, a combination that eventually led to near complete mobility and use of his right arm and shoulder." Here at Scout Trout we believe that overcoming adversity and developing that simple mind-set that we can do whatever we put our minds to, that you will then be able to own your own practice for 7 years! You can now give back to a world of people suffering from terrible ailments physically and even help a old washed up ball player try and keep going. I have learned a lot from Dr. Kummrow and I am proud to have him as our official Medical partner, heading into the 2017 Senior Bowl event and beyond! John is a Chicago Bears fan so we must always remind him how good the Green Bay Packers and Mason Crosby really are! #ScoutTrout #PhysicalTherapy #Health #Fitness #OverallFitness #IntegrativeTherapy #NCAAFOOTBALL #BALLERALERT #SENIORBOWL2017 #NFLPLAYOFFS #DENVERBRONCOS #COLORAODAVALANCHE #DENVERNUGGETS #MLKDAY #EQUALITY #ELITEPROGRAM #ELITEPROSPECTS #ELITE #BALLSOHARDU #MIND #BODY #SOUL #FAITH #FAMILY #FIREBIRDS #WORKOUTPLANS #DIVERSE #ACTION #BOSS #NFLDRAFT |
