Grant Dyer comes to Scout Trout with a very impressive overall body of work and currently has offers from Ivy league and FCS programs, Bucknell, Cornell, Dayton and Butler. With stellar academics and superior play on the field, Grant Dyer was able to garner All-State and All-Region Honors in the state of Kentucky, while being a 3 year varsity starter for the 5A State Champions who finished the season 15-0. With 68 total tackles his senior season and 329 yards on offense, Grant also made 75% of his kickoffs in the end-zone for touch-backs and had a punt long of 65 yards. Dyer is in the national honors society and was academic all-state for 2015, 2016 and 2017. Grant shows great lateral agility in his film above and is able to track down defenders from behind, as seen on the second play of his film. Grant holds edge-contain extremely well, as seen on the third play of his highlights and you can see the "workhorse" that his head coach Eddie Eviston speaks so highly of. Grant uses his explosive speed to quickly get into the backfield after diagnosing the play. Grant makes about 3-4 plays in the backfield starting at around 1:40, and you can see how effective he can be in blitz packages at the next level. Players like Grant are highly sought after at the next level, and I am very interested at who all comes to the forefront in the highly recruited month of January! Thank you for joining Scout Trout, and I am sure we will be conducting a recruiting update very soon! Great job this season, and congrats on the offers you already have accumulated! Happy New Year!
