Edrick Ling and his father drove over 8 hours to get to my Illinois regional and Edrick was able to produce big time at my event. Edrick is a amazing talent out of Toronto and was very impressive in one on one's and I was even more intrigued with his play at the Tight End position in passing drills. Ling had a very good combine for a big man and was able to show his overall athleticism in the drills you will see below. I have been criticized in the past for making big men play the game of football as a skill position player. Big men that can catch and our phenomenal athlete's can only be discovered by testing them in various skill position drills. Also, this shows me that Ling has superior coordination and when taught proper hand placement, will be able to control the man lined up in front of him. Ling was able to run fantastic routes for All-American QB Brady Douthat and as you will see the first play, has some good vertical skills! With a great attitude and a wonderful personality, Ling was able to latch on to Coach Tillmon and I's methods and produce a great highlight from our regional event. When you watch Edrick's feet on the inverted "swizzle" route, you will see how quick this big man really is. When pass blocking in one on one's, at the end of our event, Ling was light on his feet and showed very good hand placement on our All-American prospects Jacob Hall, Brady Douthat and Braxton Williams. Ling proves to have the ability to be a very good defensive tackle or O-Linemen at the next level, as his overall athleticism is extremely hard to find. He showed very good finesse moves and will be a instant team chemistry builder, with his amazing personality and demeanor. You also cannot rule this young man out as a ELITE Tight End and I will be using him in various ways in Mobile to demonstrate his overall skill set, which is extremely hard to find. Thank you once again LING FAMILY for your continued support and keep building a amazing student-athlete! Can't wait to try some of of that famous Mitzies Caribbean Jerk at your restaurant and some seafood in Mobile, Alabama! Great work!
