Peyton Knight Was Born TO Be A LONG-SNAPPER
Peyton was introduced to long-snapping in the 5th grade by his father who was a collegiate long snapper at Concordia. After years of refinement and playing the game at a high level, Knight attended a national rankings event with Kornblue and was able to win the contest, while receiving a national ranking at #2. He was extremely accurate and posted an average time of eight tenths of a second (.8), while going through various football drills. Moving forward to the regular season, I was able to time his game snaps on film and after averaging his 6 punt snaps he performed at about .73 tenths of a second per snap. Being able to see his technique and hands on film was vital in being able to evaluate his snapping ability and Kornblue was spot on in their evaluation of this stand-out long snapping recruit. With stellar consistency and the daily process that has been instilled in Knight by the likes of former Colt's Long-Snapper Justin Snow (2000-2011) and his father. Peyton will continue to grow into a extremely reliable and efficient long snapper at the next level.
