Chase Owen is a chess piece that Scout Trout utilizes heavily in his pro style attack and he extremely tough to defend with his large frame and athletic skill set. With the ability to stretch the field with 4.7 speed and the ability to make the tough catches over the middle, Chase Owen will be a living hell to game plan for at the next level. Chase is able to gain significant yards after the catch in this outstanding highlight above and you are able to see the strength this young man possesses. At :35 seconds into Owen's highlight, Chase is able to drop a dime down the sideline on a reverse pass, being able to hit his receiver in stride about 50 yards downfield. Coming off the edge as a Linebacker, on the next play, Chase takes on the lead blocker and is able to completely annihilate the ball carrier in the gap. You will even see Chase lined up as a Wildcat Quarterback and he shows great downhill running ability, out of the shotgun. Chase is able to break tackle after tackle and is able to carry defenders downfield on his back, never ceasing forward momentum. Chase is able to once again, drop a dime on another trick play and these are the types of players whom really can open up your offensive playbook. He shows a very good release off of press "man" coverage and demonstrates a wicked "swim move", using his hands to make sure the defender cannot get his paws on him. Chase can pretty much line up anywhere on the field and be extremely successful, which makes him Scout Trout's prototypical H-Back, who also can line up on defense and knock you into oblivion. His intense motor and blocking ability when the ball is not in his hands is very fun to watch, as you never know when Chase is going to bring out the hammer and lead his team's ball carrier to the promised land. Chase Owen has a 3.4 GPA and a 20 ACT, he exhibits all of the characteristics of a BIG TIME College Football player and we our excited to have him as a Scout Trout All-American! See you in Mobile at the Scout Trout All-American Bowl!
