![]() Adrian Cuevas comes to us from Central Catholic High School in Modesto, CA and is an extremely athletic student-athlete who has gained interest from some big time D1 programs and high academic programs alike. Adrian shows uncanny ability in man to man coverage and is able to stay on the inside hip of his receiver, while still being able to flip his head around to locate the football to make a big play. On the first play of his Class of 2019 highlights above, Cuevas is able to dislodge the football with his helmet, while flying at full speed to create a huge turnover, which otherwise would have resulted in a touchdown. The hustle and determination that Cuevas shows on the next play of his highlights shows his 4.5 speed, along with the high energy he brings to the Central Catholic defense, as he hawks down a ball carrier from behind, once again saving an inevitable touchdown. Adrian makes a perfectly played interception and shows why offenses across the state of California choose to stay away from passing to this phenomenal student-athlete's side of the football field. Adrian has an outstanding back-pedal and shows outstanding agility when flipping to his body to stay with his receiver, as you will never see him get beat deep. He shows a very keen sense of play design and is able to come up extremely quickly on short screen passes and run plays to make stellar tackles inside the box. This shows me that Cuevas could also play FS or even SS at the next level, as he shows no fear in coming up and making the tackle on ball carriers. He uses his hands very well to detach from blockers, as seen as he fights through the quick screen block at 1:05 into his film to make another negative play for the opposing offense. Cuevas shows more stellar technique on the post route he is seen masterfully covering at 1:32 into his highlights, as he is in perfect position once again to make a play on the football. Cuevas uses his hands very well to detach from oncoming blockers and is able to swiftly get to the ball carrier and then is able to take out the runners legs with great tackling technique. Adrian has been nominated as a Scout Trout All-American after exhibiting stellar play on the field and outstanding academics in the classroom with a 3.0 GPA, 21 ACT and 1050 SAT score. I am extremely excited to watch Adrian play this up and coming season, as he has been working hard and dominating recruiting camp circuits all Spring long. Thanks for joining our Scout Trout Elite Pipeline Program, and I am sure all of your hard work will pay off in the college football recruiting process. |
