Adam Allen is listed running a 4.6, 40 yard dash at 225lbs and you can clearly see his game speed is that of a Division one athlete, on the first play of his highlights. Adam is able to fly down field and simply blow through the up back and make a aggressive tackle on kickoff. The next play Adam is able to demonstrate his remarkable closing speed, while easily tracking down the quarterback in the backfield. He shows great moves on the interior line and is physically imposing on his opponents. On the next play, Adam reads the run-option extremely well and once again finishes off the tackle with brute force! The spin move exhibited at 52 seconds into his film reminded me of the great London Fletcher. Allen also shows a extremely high motor in his aggression chasing down ball carriers and not giving up on the play. Allen is seen easily "scraping" down the line of scrimmage and then is able to detach from blockers to make significant plays in the backfield. With Allen's overall athleticism he will be utilized in a variety of ways at the next level. In my opinion, he will fit perfectly as a Hybrid OLB/DE and can provide a instant pass rush to any College program.
