3 PEAT COMPLETE! Pueblo East HS (CO) STATE CHAMPIONS!

I got the honor to go "LIVE": for the entire Pueblo East Championship, which is now on the Scout Trout Facebook Group Page! Discovery Canyon had a impressive first drive, using a Air Force style triple-option attack, that worked on this drive only. I was highly impressed with the quick changes the East Eagles made playing the Option game. They were easily able to set the edge and create penetration deep into the backfield. Josh Tellez really came to play and was ferociously in the backfield all day long. He literally was so fast into the backfield on some plays, he over ran the ball carrier and had to make diving stops. Luke Padula had a faboulous catch and really helped open up the passing game down field. The blocking down field by Dusty Biggers and Luke was also a HUGE reason for the productive run game. Sophomore QB Luc Andrada had a faboulous performance and showed he can play at a BIG time level. The kid is extremely fast, agile and can sling it! I love the way he can throw on the run and simply stop on a dime. This kid is going to be the top QB coming out of the State of Colorado, for the Class 2019. Josh Tellez was able to blow up on coming blockers, to lead the State's leading BEAST, The TORRES TRAIN! Once this train get's moving down hill, not even the conducter can slow him down. Torres is one of those back's that you know, no matter what, you got 2-3 yards everytime he touches the PigSkin. Kyle Bloms, Dominick Finley, and Grant Baggett played great on the O-Line and the ENTIRE line as whole. Luis Martinez is a dynamic player at the Corner Position and I love his technique, at the position and the way he plays the ball. I watched Luis make a spectacular pass break up, playing the inside hip to perfection and attacking the football. Joe Padula has a huge upside as well, the genes must be really good in the Padula Famiila. I really like the Kicker and Punter form Pueblo East as well, with a little coaching on technique, I believe they both could be very successful at the next level. The length of MLB Mark Vivoda really intrigues me and he also gets to the ball well. To hold Discovery to 6 points going for the coveted 3 Peat, makes this even more sweet! Pueblo East is the standard for Colorado Football, AT ANY LEVEL! They thrive on playing tough, hard and until the final whistle! I said if the Young men could minimize mistakes and play as a total unit for 4 quarters, they would bring home their 3rd State Championship in a row! What a historic run for you Seniors to go off College with, deeply imbedded in your brains. Remember what winning feels like and what it took to get those 3 rings. The Blood, Sweat and tears that you as brothers endured, from summer until now. For 3 straight years, you demanded GREATNESS, you expected to take the field and DOMINATE. Winning is not a attitude, it's a overall mantra of perfecting every detail until it cannot be defeated. At Peublo East, your mantra is winning and boasting those flashy rings, now on 3 fingers! Enjoy it while it last as the next level will not get easier! But I have watched the cream rise to the top, through bacterial ridden referees and against all odds.
