2021 NFL DRAFT TEAM GRADES

College Football Today & ESPN Plus 2021 NFL Draft team grades are calculated by where a 2021 NFL Draft prospect was placed on the 2021 NFL Mock Draft 4.0, while factoring in where each 2021 NFL Draft prospect was ranked on the College Football Today RokFin 2021 NFL Draft prospect rankings. The sheet below also features where each 2021 NFL Draft first round pick was ranked on the 247 Composite nationally and also by position upon graduating high school. 2021 NFL Draft 1st RD picks had a average 247 Sports composite star rating of 3.65 coming out of HS, a 27.81 average position ranking & an astounding 468.25 national recruit ranking average. 2021 NFL DRAFT PICK GRADES

2021 NFL Draft pick grades started to formulate while I was sitting alongside many top NFL front office executives at the 2017 NFL Reese's Senior Bowl & were able to help evolve my top football recruit scouting process, aka the Scout Trout Elite Prospect and/or S.T.E.P ratings. This complex formula was generated by building a dynamic programming algorithm that was capable of remembering past results and outcomes, throughout the history of the rapidly evolving American football scouting process. There are millions of positive & negative variables that can play out throughout the course of a prospect or top football recruits career, which can either radically enhance or rapidly erode a prospects overall stock. This required the creation of an optimal substructure, that contained the best solutions for hundreds of sub-problems that exist in the football scouting & recruiting process, which could also utilize an overlapping sub-problems equation to store the outcomes of those positive and/or negative outcomes to those solutions. The 2021 NFL Draft scouting process was a true test to see if these new additions to the algorithmic formulas would succeed at the pro level, while I also learned how to better myself as the world's top American football scout. Given the circumstances surrounding the 2020-2021 Covid-19 ridden college football season and with the 2021 NFL Combine being cancelled, my 6th year of NFL Draft scouting was conducted solely by using the NFL Draft S.T.E.P ratings algorithmic formulas. The 2021 NFL Mock Draft's were formed in more of a 2021 NFL Draft Big Board, while also obtaining direct insider information from the top NFL front office executives in the NFL Today.

2021 NFL PROSPECT RANKINGS

After compiling the College Football Today 2021 NFL Draft prospect rankings, I started to formulate a 2021 NFL Draft QB composite prospect rankings algorithm that calculates ratings using the top 10 NFL Draft prospect rankings indexed by Google. I will be releasing those results in the my next NFL Draft article, but I got to see the wide array of opinions on nearly 400 NFL Draft prospects by "top NFL Draft experts" and mostly all of them were incorrect after the first ten NFL Draft picks. There are thousands of different offensive & defensive football philosophies that exist in the NFL & collegiate game, which is why the 2021 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 was slightly different than my actual NFL Draft prospect rankings. I believe Trevor Lawrence is the best fit for a high octane Urban Meyer spread offense and was the best overall conventional "Pro-Style" QB in this year's NFL Draft class, but out of the the top 3, I believe he will need the most development before taking the field. He has everything you look for in a top flight franchise quarterback and if the College Football Today Freshmen of The Year ends up being a bust, the responsibility will fall on the shoulders of the Jaguars coaching staff. As far as a GM's philosophy in selecting players in the NFL Draft, I am not searching high & low for projects that might pan out down the road, I want a guy that is capable of coming in and winning now and I believe Wilson & Fields possess the dynamics to single handily take over a football game.
