2023 ALL-AMERICAN DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR
Scout Trout 2023 All-American defensive coordinator Coach John Scargle has been a key component in shutting down highly potent offenses as a defensive mastermind who has a plethora of knowledge in sport of American football. Coach Scargle has coached many elite defenses which led to him being crowned 2012 Pinellas County Defensive Coach of the Year and helping win 12 District & 6 Regional Championships with Clearwater Central Catholic, as well as a 2013 Florida HS 3A State Championship Finalist! What is most impressive is his enamoring statistic of placing over 100 of his American football players at the collegiate level as well four players that made it all the way to the National Football League, as Coach Scargle came with the highest of recommendations when it came to having the utmost integrity and passion for the young men that he leads year in and year out. Currently the Head Varsity Football Coach at Hernando HS in Florida, Coach Scargle is in his 21st season as an All-American football coach and has also spent time up at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, where he served as Safeties & Special Teams Coach.

Scout Trout Elite All-American DC for the 2023 All-American Bowl Coach John Scargle played defensive back for the University of Central Florida Golden Knights & competed for the legendary Hal Sherbeck of Fullerton College in California before starting his journey as an elite & well traveled All-American football coach. Coach Scargle also was the Varsity Head football coach at Palm Harbor University where he spent time sharpening his axe and preparing his soldiers for battle on & off the field. I am elated that Coach Scargle has accepted his nomination for the 2023 All-American Bowl game as our elite All-American DC and I believe he is the perfect fit to help mold the future generation of All-American football players at Scout Trout Elite & College Football Now!
