All-American notes - 2024 All-American LB Christian Wood has demonstrated an immense amount of grit and determination in his efforts to become a complete overall American football player on the gridiron of Georgia HS football. Christian is one the hardest workers on & off the field and has grown significantly in every respect needed to dominate at the next level as a top inside linebacker, who possesses the lateral agility & closing speed to track ball carriers down from sideline to sideline. Wood possesses an innate ability to shed blocks instantly while rapidly weaving through traffic to make bone-shattering tackles. Top 2024 LB recruit Christian Wood is arguably the best rising 2024 linebacker recruit coming out of the talent rich State of Georgia and is able to diagnose plays quickly, while using outstanding quickness to pummel ball carriers for a loss of yardage. Wood is an extremely physical linebacker, who completely unearths running backs upon arrival and is one of the most sure tacklers I have witnessed in his recruiting class. He is able to rapidly identify passing situations and shows great overall hip mobility and flexion when dropping into zone coverage. After dropping into coverage, Wood can instantly stick his foot in the ground and zoom to the football to cause mayhem for the opposing offense. He recently was seen on Twitter talking to the legendary Hall of Fame linebacker from the Baltimore Ravens Ray Lewis and has the athletic capabilities to one day be just as good as the GOAT!
